Decided on having a nice meal and was very pleased with my choice of restaurants and dishes! An atmospheric place, no wait, not noisy, and a very delicious meal, from the miso soup and the salad to the perfectly prepared hibachi salmon with substitute garlic fried noodles, steamed vegetables, and 2-piece hibachi shrimp. The server was respectful and the food came quickly. I saw they had room for 3 groups of up to 20 at the tables hot cooking surfaces and skilled food prep servers (I’m sure there’s an official name for these entertaining folks). Full bar and large screen tv was on but not loud. I’m looking forward to going back, solo, with a friend or with a group! The receptionists and cashier were all lovely.

This is STILL a great place to have sushi.
I HIGLY recommend!!!
The restaurant is clean and the people are so friendly.
The live hibachi show is good, too.
The lunch specials are great deals.
Must come in and give it a try.
There is something for everyone.

This is the third time that I have ordered take out from here and been given the wrong item. When I pick up the order, I confront them and they INSIST that the sushi they gave me is correct. This roll CLEARLY is NOT worth $17, and is not the King Crab roll that they sell. The last time I was here and ordered take out, I ordered the Sakura roll and received the SAME ROLL as I did this time. The first time it can be passed as a mistake, but now, for a THIRD TIME, it feels as though it has to be on purpose! I do not appreciate paying for something I did not receive and am very disappointed in the lack of accountability the restaurant takes. Very unsatisfied and will not be ordering again.

Came in on a Saturday for dinner as a first timer, and should be a first of many times! Komang is such a gracious server and she gave great suggestions, all during a peak time on the weekend. Swordfish Hibachi platter was excellent and a great value for the portion size. There is quite a variety to choose from with both food and drinks, so Masa is definitely worth making more trips to get different experiences!

There was a roach in my soup, I took a photo of it. I did not bother waiting for the food to come out. I let the server know, He took the soup didn’t say anything and he seemed annoyed. I let the person upfront know my family and I will not be eating here and why. They were quick to get us out.

Popular and busy place, so may want to make a reservation if you do not want to wait. You have the choice of sitting at a regular table, at a Hibachi table or at the sushi bar. Lots of great Japanese and also a variety of Chinese and Thai dishes. We chose to go with the delicious Hibachi combos of chicken and shrimp and salmon and shrimp. Comes with your choice of rice and also soup and salad. Also tried their sushi rolls on a previous visit. Everything is nice, fresh and tasty!

Whenever a new hibachi restaurant opens up in town, it creates quite a stir. For years we only had our choice of Tokyo Hibachi & Bar or Mikura to get the full hibachi experience (shrimp flyin’, saké chuggin’, onion ring volcano shootin’ fire into the air, which can be felt on the faces of people sitting across the room).
But when Masa arrived, it changed the whole town’s dynamic. MIkura was basically banished into the nether realm. Their hibachi tables are way too cramped. If your two favorite things are the wise-cracking, egg-balancing-on-the-spatula, cheery on the outside but everyone knows is depressed on the inside hibachi chef and claustrophobia, then this place is for you.
Tokyo has been the king for the longest time, but Masa is a true powerhouse in its own right. It’s fairly obvious the scales are tipping in Masa’s favor these days, for if you were to ask an acquaintance about where they’d like to go for your pre-arranged sushi lunch that you had planned for weeks and miraculously neither of you bailed, nearly every time that person would say Masa.
Speaking of lunch, the specials here are what keep me coming back. Three rolls for $13, hibachi combos (i.e. chicken, veggies, fried rice, soup) also for $13, and their Lunch Wok & Grill Platters (protein, Cali roll, dumpling, rice, and soup) for $12. Bonkers. There are still good deals out there, just gotta know where to look.
The hibachi experience is top notch. Here you get a proper amount of space, heck, you might even go as far to say an abundance. And that’s how it should be. Lots of room, not cramped up next to the other tables, where you get splattered from their oil and feel the burn from their onion volcanos.
Must say, I quite dig this place. For the life of me I can’t think of a single thing I dislike. Bravo, Masa, you are now the king of hibachi in Reading, PA.

We were met with a friendly greeting. We were seated quickly for a Saturday night. Food was good. We sat at a table, but ate a Hibachi meal and sushi for this visit.
Our waitress did ask about any allergies as there can be cross contamination if you order the hibachi.

The go to spot for sushi in this area. The restaurant is clean and modern. I always order their hibachi and their sushi is very fresh as well. Keep in mind, it’s a pretty noisy restaurant, especially when the hibachi chefs are cooking for big groups. Food always comes out in a timely manner. Service is friendly too.

Masa Hibachi Sushi & Bar is hands-down the best in Reading! The service is always excellent, and the food is absolutely amazing. We had such a great time during our most recent visit, just like every other time we’ve been there. I swear the food gets even better each time we go. The atmosphere, the flavors, and the overall experience never disappoint. Highly recommend!
