There’s a reason it was on Triple D. It’s the quintessential third D. The service was great, food was awesome and I had been wanting fried chicken and such. We were just passing through and had to try it. I’d recommend it. It was pretty busy for off hours too so that’s always a good sign. Stop in and try it for yourself.

The hubby and I love a good gizzard. We travel all over and the last good ones we had were in the south. We went to pick up some stuff from M37 auction we had won and I reminded him that we saw signs for a gizzard fest when we drove through Potterville this summer. So I googled gizzards near me. It brought up Joe’s Gizzard City and it was open at 11am so I was excited! We parked on the street and walked in the first door that said Joe’s Cafe. We sat down to a breakfast menu and I was confused and admittedly a little bummed. (I really wanted gizzards) When the server walked up I showed her my phone and asked “is this the same place?” She smiled and said yes but what you want is on the other side of this door. She led us through the door to an awesome little bar/ restaurant. We were greeted and sat down and as soon as I saw the menu I lit up! Definitely the right place! We got a gizzard sampler, deep fried green olives and decided to split a Triple D burger. We also added an order of naked fried gizzards to our sampler and let me tell you, great choices were made! The server, bartender and chef/cook were all awesome ladies! They answered every weird question we had and gave us great suggestions of what to try like the different sauces on the naked fried. I can honestly say this small town treasure was the best dining experience we’ve had this year. If you love small town mom n pops and a damn good gizzard dont miss this one! I bet the drinks were great too but it was 11am and I’m a busy grandma lol

Stopped on the way thru town for dinner. Husband loves gizzards, he tried the combo battered fried gizzards. He enjoyed them but said he’d get no breading next time. Kids got a battered dog and French fry meal and hot dog and French fries. Fries where plenty hot coming out for the kids. We appreciated their speed and service our waitress was very accommodating.

We have been here once before for a beer during gizzard fest. Heard they have good burritos? Went today and indeed their burritos are very good. Good size and very tasty. Consider ourselves to be burrito experts and these met our expectations. Will definitely be back.

True Dive Bar with good food, if you like it fried its even better! Gizzards are tender, fried olives unique and home made pork rinds amazing. Stop in for a great meal and experience. As seen on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives on Food Network!!

The service was fantastic. I had very high expectations, I love gizzards. They were just ok. A little too greasy for my liking. And I was very disappointed when they brought me the “hand breaded” mushrooms, only to see they were frozen. They tasted good, but not what I ordered. The onion rings and pork rings were great, no complaints on either!!

While this is a classic “Cheers” place (lots of locals), it has always been a friendly spot for those of us who are “just passing through.” Today’s visit was just as charming as ever. Top-notch service, yummy food and everyone was having a great day, enjoying each other’s company. A lovely example of folks getting along…we need more of that these days. Thanks!!

My first time eating at Joe’s. The atmosphere was very comfy and the other customer’s were very helpful in suggesting things that they enjoyed eating. The waitress was extremely helpful and polite. I also got to meet the owner Joe.

I do love gizzards. I even cook them. But these were just awful. It was like chewing a mouth full of greasy batter. Yes they were soft… I will give them that!! We also ordered the Cheese Burger. It was dry, flavorless and left a nasty taste in my mouth. The fries with the ranch were the best thing in our tray.
