You know for a place i have not stepped into in over 7yrs. I must say I am impressed. Still give the hometown feel, and taste is awesome amazing. If fergus falls has nothing else to offer the community than the viking cafe, well then we have certainly hit the jackpot. The quality, the service, give the nostalgic vibration, and feel of the days when back at our grandparents place during the family road trips and vacations. Super great local cafe!!! Old Norwegian atmosphere mixed with classic small town cafe. Breakfast is that comfort food style greatness and the daily specials make you feel like “everything is gonna be okay”. This is the best diner in the region. Starting from the atmosphere, staff friendliness, speed, coffee and cleanliness. My wife said it was cleanest bathroom she has ever seen in a restaurant. The food was awesome and it came out quick. It is just what you expect and more when you go to a diner. I will recommend this place to family and friends. The best part is that the prices are not high. Try the homemade maple syrup. It is awesome. I never saw the bottom part of my cup of coffee cause they are so quick to top off your coffee. A+ establishment here

My first visit, brought my family of six kids for breakfast. Was unsure what we’d experience but was definitely impressed! Curbside, 2-hr. parking. Rustic, cozy, small-town diner ambience. Friendly and fast service. The portions are ample, much larger than the photos on the menu indicates! This will not be our last time to visit!!

The prices are so reasonable. I’m not sure how they manage to keep prices so fair, but I’m here for it.
I had coffee and a traditional eggs, hash browns, sausage links and toast breakfast. It was all cooked perfectly and delicious. The hash browns are served with a good deal of butter on top, so if you don’t like that you might want to ask to leave it off.
I absolutely recommend this spot if you’re in the area.

Not like I remembered. I come to Fergus Falls a couple times a year and can usually count on this as a decent small town cafe. Ate there during a very busy lunch time on a Tuesday, and had to wait for a booth. Definitely the place where all the locals go. Booths and counter seating. Public parking in the rear and on street parking at the front. Bathrooms in the basement but clean. Food was not too notable. Service was rushed but it was busy. What rates it a three for me is the common water vessel they bring to the table for you to fill up your cups is shared communally among tables, with ice and water added, not a clean vessel per table. Too much stuff going around to share table to table something you would handle while you eat. Observing that turned me off enough I could not finish my food.
