Was in town and was in the mood for comfort food so stopped at McCarthy and it did not disappoint. I had planned on getting a Reuben but waitress had recommended the sirloin, so decided to try it out. For a sirloin it was somewhat tender and the sauce was super flavorful. I also ordered the Brussel Sprouts and they were probably the best I’ve ever had. They had about 9 drafts (a little disappointed they did not have a wheat beer option, but it is February 17th, lol). The waitress was super helpful and friendly. I’d say she was definitely a 10 for service. I would recommend this restaurant if you are in the Port Clinton area.

Our server David was amazing. Food was delicious. Fresh cut fries could have been hotter, but they were still good warm. Burger was great. Best iced tea I’ve had in awhile. We visited in January. I can only imagine how busy they are in the summer!

Love going here. Great sandwiches, Gluten free options is a plus. They do awesome with substituting regular buns for gluten free ones and make them taste delicious. The house made side chips are very good!

Tried McCarthy’s for the first time tonight and we were very pleased. Had a really fun time here and the owner was very kind to us. The atmosphere is great and for a Tuesday night they were busy up until closing time! Definitely a must try if you’re in the area!

My husband had the chicken sandwich with mashed potatoes and I had the reuben sandwich with onion rings. It was very delicious. We can’t wait to go back and try their sandwich of the month.

45-minute drive, and well worth it. I am almost ashamed to admit I have never been to this place before. The menu was vast, with a lot of good sounding menu choices. I opted for something I would not normally get, but it was outstanding. A thick cut piece of bologna that was not salty and went great with the mustard, fried egg, and the marbled bread. The chicken sandwich was huge and had a great crisp to it. The onion rings and fries were outstanding. I normally do not like pub chips, but these were surprisingly great. The dip that came with chips was outstanding as well. I’m Defentinley looking forward to my neck trip.

My Sis & I stopped in tonight for dinner before we head back to the Cincy & Dayton areas. We came in a lil later like 30 mins before close thinking they’d be open a lil later but the waiter David was super nice & said we had plenty of time! We both chose the perch baskets with fries & coleslaw! Everything was delicious! Perch & they didn’t skimp on the drinks! I got a mango margarita & my sis got a hurricane Eileen drink. That mango marg… tequila baby! Definitely would come back! Food was great, server was nice , & a nice atmosphere…they play decent music!!!

I was here a long time ago and enjoyed it. But this May 14th was bad. The picture shows the problem, unless you wanted a bread and sauerkrat sandwich. (That part was good) I opened up half of my Reuben, and there was hardly any meat. $17 worth of sour crowd and bread. The french fries were $3 more.
