I was the Maid of Honor for my sister-in-law’s wedding, and the groom’s family hosted their rehearsal dinner at Mezza Luna — it was absolutely outstanding! I would highly recommend this restaurant for any special event.

The food was exceptional from start to finish. The appetizers were so fresh and flavorful — the stuffed mushrooms were to die for, and the calamari was perfectly cooked. The entrées were incredibly generous in portion and absolutely delicious — the chicken parm and chicken marsala were both standout dishes, and the antipasto platter was enormous and beautifully presented. I also have to mention the French onion soup — rich, cheesy, and one of the best I’ve ever had!

The service was impeccable — warm, attentive, and clearly experienced in handling large groups with ease. The entire evening felt seamless and celebratory thanks to their wonderful staff.

We loved it so much that we went back a few days later for dinner with our 2.5-year-old — and even the kid’s menu impressed us! He devoured his buttered noodles and chocolate milk while I couldn’t resist ordering the French onion soup and stuffed mushrooms again for myself.

We will definitely be back — Mezza Luna is a true gem in Buzzards Bay and an easy five stars from our family!

Delicious food and friendly service here. Inside was very dark though so had a different vibe. Was traveling on business and would come again.

I had dinner here this evening. The food was fabulous. I ordered the Eggplant Fries, Baked Stuffed Shrimp w/ Spinach Ravioli topped w/ Alfredo Sauce. The bread/butter & house salad were good. The table comes set w/ grated parmesan & salt/pepper; which is convenient. I had three glasses of wine (all great). I so much appreciated the details of this restaurant. The menu’s first page opens up about the history of Mezza Luna, how it burned down years ago & had to be rebuilt from the ground up. There are displays of different artifacts. Artwork is splashed on the walls. There was an apology letter on the wall of the ladies room for it being smaller than it used to be… There’s a sense of nostalgia w/ a personalized appeal/appreciation for the customers who have dined here throughout the decades & the family that started it all. The sounds of Frank Sinatra in the backdrop & the mini flower (real) display on the table brought this experience right on home for me. I loved it here & insist on people coming here for an authentic Italian meal ❤️

My family and I went to Mezza Luna because their website says they have a gluten free menu. They do label what is gluten free on their menu (few options from their huge menu), but what they don’t say is that the gluten free options are simply extremely bland dishes with most ingredients removed. I ordered the stuffed scallop dish and received a few plain scallops with pepper on them, unseasoned steamed broccoli, and an unseasoned baked potato. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant for anyone needing a gluten free meal.

After a funeral at national cemetery we were looking for an Italian restaurant to share a family dinner and this place popped up. A party of ten and only a few people enjoyed their food. Multiple people complained of the food being too salty. My seafood platter plate had a huge puddle of grease yet was so light I thought it was uncooked. It also had no flavor other than ironically salt. The chicken parm tasted like bread with sauce and cheese. The mozzarella sticks were super market frozen food at best. Even the bread that comes with butter while you wait was a poor man wonder bread. Never would I go back for food here, ever.

We went to Mezza Luna with a party of 11 and had a great meal as always. Our servers have always been excellent in our visits over the years but last night we had a server who was exceptional. Gianna was amazing and went above and beyond for the very overtired toddlers. She’s truly something special.

We were down from Montreal this summer and were told about Mezza Luna by a colleague. It is an absolute must when in the area, and if you’re not in the area, definitely worth the drive!
This family run restaurant was by far our favourite part of our trip to Cape Cod. Everything from the feel when you pull up to the restaurant, to the decor, to the absolutely perfect service, to the amazing food, was perfection!
We were a group of 9 including 3 young children (a10 year old, 7 year old, and 3 year old), and although they kept it together throughout the evening, our waiter, Matthew was an amazing host as he joked with the kids and made us feel like we’re at home. Can’t say enough about Matthew!
As for the food, I don’t remember everything everyone had. The kids of course had pasta to keep it simple. My nephew and I both had the Baked Seafood Delight, which was absolutely amazing, and my sister in law could not stop talking about her dish, the Linguine Valencia Frutti di Mare, which she couldn’t finish but really wanted to. My wife and mother in law also found the veal parmigiana to be absolutely fantastic! Portions were quite large and filling, and we did have to take some of it back with us.

Thank you to our waiter Matthew and to the Cubellis family for having us dine in their restaurant and really looking forward to our next dinner together! Cheers!

I’m vegetarian and the vegetable lasagna was amazing. The view of the lake was gorgeous and the music made the ambiance truly welcoming. Our server was very friendly and we had a great conversation with her.

My list of positives for this restaurant would be very long and I can’t wait to go back. The food was incredible and very authentic. The value for the money was fantastic – huge servings; Italian wedding soup (always get it if it is being offered); warm, perfect, homemade bread; 3 glasses of wine and spumoni for $100. The atmosphere was electric and perfectly old school Italian restaurant. Go there tonight!
