A quaint little Greek themed Tavern that has a small bar and dining room, perfect for a nice romantic dinner or a small family lunch!

Shout out to Douglas, he was wonderful! Amazingly attentive, extremely friendly, and funny! He took Michelin star care of us and we really appreciate it!

We had the veggie platter, the traditional gyro platter, and the fried calamari (with a little baclava to finish off!)!
Everything was well cooked and tasted amazing, and the portion sizes and flavours make the price feel more wortg it on the wallet. The staff is always attentive and friendly and the establishment is perfectly average hygeine wise!

In most cases when I leave a review, my phone will definitely eat first. However, in this one that was just not the case. I did have to wait a little longer, but I could see it’s definitely family owned in its style. When the food came, I was very surprised by the among us portion of the fries and the pita itself. I decided to go with the Hercules next to meat platter with their regular side of fries. I expected to have ketchup or extra tzatziki sauce for my food and listen I love season food as much as anyone else I promise you, I did not need ANYTHING!!

I have worked in real life for the last two years and I am so sad that this is now my first time coming here. I saw a video on TikTok from their owner about having trouble with their HVAC system. I promise that the video did not influence how I actually feel about this place and it’s cool. I am definitely coming back. It was definitely worth a revisit and to explore the rest of our menu

Stopped by after dinner just to try the baklava cheesecake, and we’re so glad we did! Even though we weren’t planning on eating much, we couldn’t resist ordering the flaming cheese and some drinks. Everything was absolutely delicious. The customer service was exceptional and the food exceeded our expectations. We’ll definitely be back to try dinner next time and can already see ourselves becoming regulars. Highly recommend!

We love Opas! Lauren is always great and we dine here a couple times a month. However Saturday night we came in and there was trash under many tables and of the people there, Lauren was the only one really doing anything. At one point I went to the group of employees sitting at the bar talking and suggested that they might want to grab a broom and clean up under the tables while there wasn’t many people in the resturant. I know the owners were obviously away because they would never allow that. The lamb chops are amazing. Try them with the orzo instead of the rice pilaf!

It was good experience. Our waitress was polite & helpful.I didn’t like the chicken I ordered but my friend did with her order(fish). We both enjoyed the chicken wings. I enjoyed the beans soup too!

Been there twice now. Will go back again to try something else

The actual seating area in the restaurant is kind of small compared to some Greek restaurants I have been to.
There is a bar area at the entrance, and then there are options for table of booth. We were waiting for some friends so we ordered something to drink and looked over the menu. The waitress was nice, however, it took a while to get our drinks. Overall, she didn’t check on us very much, so that prolonged ordering our food. As an appetizer, we chose the fried zucchini. It was good. I ended up getting the Mahi Mahi. The fish was cooked very good and the flavors went together well. My husband got a wrap with a side roasted potatoes and Greek lima beans. He didn’t care for the beans. The potatoes were good. I ended up ordering dessert to go (I should have checked to make sure it was the correct thing), when we got back and later sat down to eat it, I got the wrong dessert so that was upsetting.
I find it took way too long to get the attention of the waitress. Another thing that irritated me was the fact that they added a “large party gratuity” on our bill. It was just 4 people! I don’t mind tipping people but that was way more tip for the actual service we received.
We went, we tried it, and probably won’t go back.

Long overdue on this review. My wife and I stopped in for a little date night. Many times when we stopped by Opa is packed, with such great food it is hard to find them with tons of empty tables. the food is good, the service is great and the owner puts his heart into everything he does. We really enjoyed ourself and the food. I was a huge fan of the Greek Coffee, it is something that you can really zit and “chew the mudd” on at the end of the meal. Great for a finish to a great meal.

2025- I had their chicken souvlaki with green beans and lemon potatoes with their red Greek wine. Their pumpkin baklava cheesecake was super tempting but I was full by the end of the meal. Yum. I saw from 11a to 2p on Sundays they have $2 mimosas, and live Greek music along with brunch. I’ll have to come back for that.

2023-I’ve been to their sister restaurant over in Rockwall called Onassis and was told that this restaurant also existed in Rowlett. I came here today for the first time and I really loved their atmosphere. They’re outside patio is very inviting, and they’re inside is a nice cozy modern Greek place. They have some Greek wine as well as American wine, Greek beer and American Beer. They have a number of specialty cocktails as well. I ordered their shrimp Souvlaki which had two skewers full of generous sized shrimp, grilled with lemon butter, plenty of rice, Greek green beans and about 8 of pita triangles. I paired it with their Greek white wine and had plenty to eat. They played awesome 80s music while I was there. I saw what looked like belly dancing in some of their photos so I would be interested to know if they have a schedule for that. All in all very good meal I wouldn’t mind coming back.

Greek food is a cuisine that I’m really getting into lately. I’ve noticed this place every time I pass through and I finally gotten around to trying, and it is really unique and great! This is the first Greek restaurant (for me to find) salmon on their menu, and it was wonderful! It came with a side plate of rice, green beans, potato wedges and pita, and all together it was a well balanced meal. For my drink, I had the cucumber limeade, and it was refreshingly delicious! For dessert I couldn’t have said no, so I went for the Russian Napoleon. It was sweet, yet fulfilling. And for the closing of my meal, I had a Greek coffee and it was excellent!
