Over the last 30 years, Starr Burger has consistently produced quality meals. Whether it’s been 2 weeks from my last visit or 2 months, I know the food will be good. We placed a huge order at Starr Burger in Whitby and I have to say, the customer service was top notch. They took the time to make sure everything was perfect. One of the staff actually wrote down every combo on a separate sheet, numbered each burger, and labeled every bag with what was inside. The last bag even had a handwritten “thank you” on it.
That level of care doesn’t happen by accident. The food was great and the service was exceptional. This is officially my go to burger spot. Highly recommend!

We decided to go out for a quick little Friday evening dinner, my boyfriend went to Starr burger as a child and we decided to try it out again!
First thing, the staff was incredible, very kind and helpful and seemed happy to be there. The place was busy and they all worked efficiently!
The 8oz burger was delicious and the fries were big portions and were hot and fresh!
Also, the restaurant was extremely clean, all tables were wiped and the floor was swept even the condiment station was neat and clean.
10/10 would recommend and will be back!

After reviewing prices, my son and I went in to try out the burgers. The charbroiled smell in the air as you drive into the parking lot definitely gets any meat-eater hungry! The staff seem friendly enough. My biggest issue would have to be the overall food quality. Now, I am not a certified burger aficionado, but I’ve been to places where dropping $20 or more on a burger is entirely possible. So I’ll do my best to say this respectfully: it seems as though the spice selections for Starr burger have not evolved with the times, and although the burger was cooked well and the meal was filling, I can’t really recommend their cheeseburger. With that said: their bacon poutine was great — and it was big enough that a 250 pound man could order it and eat it as a meal all by itself! Another disappointment was the chocolate milkshake. Aside from the large only coming in the 3rd-smallest cup they had behind the counter, the malt taste greatly overpowered the chocolate taste so I was not really enjoying the chocolate shake. The food looks amazing, and it is filling, but aside from the bacon poutine being a home run I’d have to say that the rest of the food was a miss as far as my taste buds go. I’d love to try some updated flavors that Starr Burger could likely cook up if they put the effort in, but for $60 or more for 2 people to eat, at this point I’d save that kind of cash for somewhere else. I would definitely come back for the bacon poutine, though!

Loved this place. The first patio of season. Saw another couple there so stoped in first visit to this restaurant. Pleasantly surprised to see this place on our way to walk bit stoped for a bite before. We a great cheeseburger choose all the fixing stuffed it hot peppers and all. We Loved it. Fresh and tasty. Local is great. Meat paddy good size for us smaller but you can upsize it.
Had the sweet potato fires and loved them with the dipping sauce.
They have a great menu. Prices are a little high but you are getting quality. Not sure if they are farm to table but it tastes like it

On New Year’s Eve, I placed an order online. Google showed they were open, their website allowed the order, and my credit card was charged. When I arrived, they were closed. I had to request a refund multiple times, and it took two weeks to get my money back.
I decided to give them another chance.
The second order was just as disappointing. The fries were so overcooked there was barely any potato left — just hard, dry crisp. The burger tasted more like a chewy meatball sandwich than a properly made burger. Very poor quality overall.
Mistakes happen. What’s hard to accept is the lack of response and accountability. I gave them opportunities to address it privately and received nothing back.
Based on these recent experiences, the quality and service have dropped significantly.

Good local burger place in Whitby. I really love the burgers, but for me I feel like their hot dogs are the best! Their poutines are delicious when fresh but gets a bit stale when it’s already reheated. Great portions though. The milkshake is very good and tastes classic/authentic but I think it is a bit pricey— keeping their stated description of the content in mind. On the other hand, I think the prices of the meals are justifiable and we should support local.
Average wait time is less than 10 mins or more depending on customers.
Kind staff and a spacious place to hangout. Plenty of parking spaces and easily accessible via public transit.

35 yrs I have been enjoying this wonderful place. They never disappoint, doesn’t matter who is working , it’s always 100% for burgers and fries. I’m so grateful to be able to pop in at anytime and it’s bang on. You will always be the best burger joint in town …nobody can touch you.
