Very nice Valentine’s dinner. Best to reserve on special event days. 2x as many showed up and were turned away than were reserved and seated. We ordered Chorizo De Granada for an appy. Not spicy at all but came with toast and Chimichurri sauce which was very nice. A light salad with tomato salsa, picked onion and a celery sauce (it was really good), and a piece of toast. Used the toast to stop up all the little sauces with. For the main course we each ordered perfectly cooked steaks, a medium well and medium rare which came with rice and beans, mine with another type of sausage and sweet fried plantain. All in all a very good meal. I do feel by the quality of other steaks and cocktails that I’ve had that they are overpriced. That said, it’s a beautiful restaurant and a nice experience.

What an elegant beautiful restaurant in the middle of the Granada’s chaos!
The food is sooo tasty! We had Ceviche and Vigoron Granadino as entradas and both were exceptionally delicious.
The main dishes Filete de Pescado en Salsa Menier, and Filete a la Pimienta were very tasty as well.
We really felt as we are somewhere in Italy. The atmosphere, the food and the service are on a high standard.
Amazing!

Muchas gracias a Jacob, nuestro camarero, y a Willmer por gestionar este lugar tan bien.

We came here to treat ourselves on our honeymoon and we were not disappointed! The staff are super friendly and professional making a great wine recommendation. The food was delicious, my husband and I both ordered a steak and they were cooked perfectly! Would highly recommend

Best meal in Nicaragua so far! Perfect restaurant for grilled meats in Granada. Moses took great care of us and his recommendation of the Tres Leches dessert went down very well after our steaks.

Absolutely delicious steamed sea bass with vegetables! Exactly the kind of light dinner that I needed after a long trip. The service is excellent and the restaurant is very nice, spacious, and clean. It is on the more expensive side of the scale but I’d definitely go back.

A must visit in Granada! This place was highly recommended and I’m glad we found it. Definitely use Google maps bc the first time we tried to find it we didn’t use it and couldn’t find it. The second time we almost walked right past it. The sign is kinda small. The food was wonderful, authentic, and fresh. The server was very attentive and patiently explained the menu.

Loved it so much we ate here two nights during a 4 night stay. Recommend reservations so you get a beautiful table by the garden. The food was delicious, staff was hospitable and the decor was breathtaking. Don’t pass up on the ceviche!

Very nice atmosphere. I loved that you can see the grill in action. Food quality is sublime. Most importantly, it was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had.

There are mixed reviews for this steak house. It seems customers either love it or feel the service or prices are not on par with expectations.
I had a very pleasant experience and felt the prices were more than reasonable for the quality of the food and service.
I was hungry on a Tuesday evening, so I went all in on the 16 oz Fileta Don Bernardo for only $32! Two drinks, two meals with an appetizer including local tax, and 10% gratuity ran about $85. Pricey by local standards, maybe. However, this would have cost more than twice that amount stateside.
The steak was an excellent quality cut of meat. My only complaint was that it was undercooked for my taste. I requested Medium, and it bordered on Medium Rare or Rare in some spots. The steak was very thick but soft and flavorful. It almost melted in your mouth. I’m guessing it isn’t ordered often, and an inexperienced chef must have miscalculated cooking time. Even though it wasn’t cooked to my liking, I went with it, and I still enjoyed the quality and flavor of the meat. It was truly excellent.
So, all things considered, I believe El Zaguán is a must try dining experience for visitors, especially for those with large appetites!

Mario was a fantastic server making sure we had everything we needed and making an effort to speak English with us.
We order the chorizo to share which was so tasty served with bread. For mains we had the cowboy steak and orange chicken. Both were so tender and full of flavour.
This is more expensive than most other places but the quality of food and service is worth it.
