The food is sooo tasty! We had Ceviche and Vigoron Granadino as entradas and both were exceptionally delicious.
The main dishes Filete de Pescado en Salsa Menier, and Filete a la Pimienta were very tasty as well.
We really felt as we are somewhere in Italy. The atmosphere, the food and the service are on a high standard.
Amazing!
Muchas gracias a Jacob, nuestro camarero, y a Willmer por gestionar este lugar tan bien.
I had a very pleasant experience and felt the prices were more than reasonable for the quality of the food and service.
I was hungry on a Tuesday evening, so I went all in on the 16 oz Fileta Don Bernardo for only $32! Two drinks, two meals with an appetizer including local tax, and 10% gratuity ran about $85. Pricey by local standards, maybe. However, this would have cost more than twice that amount stateside.
The steak was an excellent quality cut of meat. My only complaint was that it was undercooked for my taste. I requested Medium, and it bordered on Medium Rare or Rare in some spots. The steak was very thick but soft and flavorful. It almost melted in your mouth. I’m guessing it isn’t ordered often, and an inexperienced chef must have miscalculated cooking time. Even though it wasn’t cooked to my liking, I went with it, and I still enjoyed the quality and flavor of the meat. It was truly excellent.
So, all things considered, I believe El Zaguán is a must try dining experience for visitors, especially for those with large appetites!
We order the chorizo to share which was so tasty served with bread. For mains we had the cowboy steak and orange chicken. Both were so tender and full of flavour.
This is more expensive than most other places but the quality of food and service is worth it.
