Quaint little restaurant out in the country with a parking lot that is constantly full but when you get inside you will find some of the best comfort food around. The fried fish on Friday is delicious. Everyday look for meatloaf that is like your mamma use to make, chicken fingers, BBQ ribs, all cooked to perfection and hot. Real mashed potatoes, green beans , baked beans, catfish on Fridays everybody!, the lists goes on, we always leave regretting eating too much.
The staff is always pleasant and friendly and there is enough staff that the tables are cleaned as people leave.
During the week wait a little after lunch time and there’s no wait, on Sunday after Church, you will be waiting awhile but it is worth it. We frequent this restaurant at least twice a month with friends and thoroughly enjoy every visit.

Local Country food buffet. All you can eat + drink. Good, but not great buffet. Quality is middle of the road but style is great. Lot’s of choices. Desert bar is so so.

Lots of choices! Everything is super fresh! The bar is kept replenished and sparkling clean. I’ve never seen a Buffett as clean and well stocked. The wait staff was attentive, friendly and helpful. Worth the drive to Ball Play Alabama.

My husband and I were headed home to Mississippi from Atlanta following a business trip. We were approaching Gadsden & both craving some comfort food. I ran across reviews of Beans and Greens with a few noting “Like Grandma’s Cooking”. We knew it was located in a Rural Area and we actually enjoyed the drive to it which was serene and “small town America”. A welcomed sight after traveling around Atlanta for 3 days. When we arrived we were greeted by a nice lady outside. Upon arriving inside, we were not greeted but the servers were busy running drinks and tending to others. No big deal. We saw a sign that directed us to seat ourselves which we did. One of the young ladies saw us and grabbed our drink orders and off we went to the buffet. They had a variety of meats and vegetables, a pretty good looking salad bar and several desserts to choose from, one which was labeled as Sugar Free. I tried the Chicken Tenders which were seasoned and appeared hand battered, chicken and Dumplings, some sort of meat that was in chunks (possibly Turkey?) and in gravy, cabbage, green beans, pinto beans, collard greens and mashed potatoes. The tenders were very good but a little dry. The Chicken & Dumplings, cabbage, pintos, green beans and potatoes were very good. They weren’t really seasoned like my Granny would have made but with a little salt and pepper they were pretty good. The greens had a smell and taste to them that was just not for us. Maybe it was the brand? My husband had pretty much the same vegetables and his opinion is the same. He also tried the pork which he said was ok, just a little dry. He did mention that the BBQ sauce tasted homemade. Was it the “Grandmas Cooking” we had hoped for? No, but We left with full bellies and the price was reasonable so it was a win.

Hard to find a good country buffet anymore, but this one is very good and very reasonable fiscally. Lots of fresh veggies, 6 or 7 meats to choose from( smoked pork and fried chicken are excellent)! Also 2 or 3 homemade desserts and a salad bar plus drink for 12 bucks.. #CrazygoodDeal!
