The Christmas buffet this year was outstanding. The food was fresh, hot, and honestly some of the best Chinese options you’ll find anywhere in the Florida Panhandle. As someone who grew up around the NY/NJ Chinese food scene, nothing down here usually compares—but First Choice Buffet is the closest you’ll get, and it’s become our go‑to spot.
They also offer a military discount, which is always appreciated. This place has turned into a Saturday tradition for us, and the consistency keeps us coming back.
I’ve been coming here ever since I got stationed in the area, and it’s hands-down the best choice for anyone craving solid Chinese buffet food with friendly service and great value.

it’s your typical chinese buffet. we came in not expecting much but the food was pretty good but it didn’t blow me away. it was $15 per person for dinner. they also offer a military discount as well.
the chow mein was probably my favorite part of the meal. it’s great for if you’re wanting to stuff yourself with food.

Food was hot and fresh. People were coming in as we were there which tells you the buffet is fresh! There was sushi fresh cooked and raw! Place was clean and clean! So refreshing for a Chinese buffet! I will definitely recommend to others and come again! So delicious!

Food on buffet was old and hard. Food was barely above room temperature. Had less than 6 pieces of sushi out the whole time i was there. I was there for over a hour. When I mentioned it to the Owner, he tried to explain it was slow season. Well i dont care about slow season, i paid for my dinner and nothing was fresh, hot, or even good. Woke up sick today with it coming out both ends. Makes me wonder if food on the bars were from the day before or even older. I will never eat there again!!!!!

This place is in dire need of a renovation! The food is fantastic and service is great, but it really bares the question of how clean they really keep their cooking and dining area, with all the stains, muck, and stickiness on the walls, chairs, tables, and decor. My biggest concern was the bathrooms. I was afraid to touch ANYTHING it was so disgusting. The photos are of the women’s restroom, so I can only cringe at the thought of the men’s! Neither toilet was flushed when I went in, and the handicap stall looked like someone stopped the toilet up before urinating one the floor!

This is a pretty good buffet in town. They have a nice variety on the buffet lines. They also have fresh sushi, which is a perk. The snow crab legs are an additional charge, but worth it! Overall, the food, service, and prices are good. I will be back!

Edit. It use to be good. Dried up food add a little new on top. Hard crab rangoons and other things. Only two sushis about 6 or 8 empty plates of no sushi on the bar. The shrimp shouldnt be ate after sitting as long as it has so skip that. Got there at 6pm height of dinner time. There about 45 minutes waiting for fresh stuff nothing but new rice noodles. This is the second time lately it was like this so im reposting to warn people save your money. When I told the manager at the end when he asked how was it and i said not good his only response was to tell me over and over that its slow season and he cant put to much out it will get cold. No I have worked in food service my whole life you can put smaller amounts out more often and it would be fine. Charge more food cost is high. Id rather pay a little more and not get food poisoning. Don’t tell me the food is fine when it looks dried up and if I ate I know I’d get sick. He gave us a discount but held my change hostage while he repeated himself over and over about slow season and food getting cold. I know food cost is high how about charge more per person and keep fresh food out.! Sucks thay so many restaurants have cut corners so much they aren’t good anymore..
It was very good. Small but had all the good things wish they had rice noodles though. We came a little early for dinner 445 only a few dishes had been there for awhile the rest was pretty fresh. Thank you, see you again! It says blue water bay but this place is in Niceville florida
