We Made an online order. Pulled into a stall at the sonic and sent the stall number online for pickup. We then notice the group of people standing and sitting at one end weren’t people ordering & eating, they were homeless people hanging out.
1st we had a dog come jumping up on our car had to yell to get off as a man approached trying to sell some used junk and asking for $$.
My son had to yell at him to go away after trying to nicely say No Tks 2x. Someone else finally whistled for dog also. My son by this time had also pushed button for svc 3-4 times.
No answer. 1 customer in line.
So we drove around to go thru drive thru. Asked for our online order and when we pulled up the young guy didnt greet us. Just thrusted the 2 drinks at us and we had to honk to ask for straws.
This was the most uncomfortable, unsafe feeling, rude service, unkept, nasty looking sonic with horrible tasting non mixed drinks we’ve ever been to or gotten.
They wouldn’t even answer the phone the numerous times we called. Hopefully our review will get the attn / response warranted.
After heading and ordering through the drive thru they then informed me that the ice cream machine is out of order so they could not complete my order.
I get it things happen but what a waste of time, could have easily been told while I was at the car stall.
I was with my son which just had a root canal and wanted a milk shake. He had a special request for them to make it like a banana split. The lady said we don’t have that. Finally my son (which is 50 yrs old not a child) explained how a banana split has vanilla, strawberry and chocolate ice cream with bananas. She said we don’t have bananas. He asked do you have any flavoring. She said yes. Then we get the order and it was just a layer of chocolate ice cream, vanilla and the a layer of strawberry. W/ coolwhip on top w/ a cherry. My son ask if he could have the flavors blended. And the young man then said well you wanted it like a banana split. It cost $6.67 for a medium shake because all the extra charges.
So if you go to this location just remember to give specific instructions! My son didn’t ask anything else of them. And gladly ate his Banana split shake.
They gave me a damn plain cheese burger lmao didnt have time to go back bc of work.
At least I got the chili cheese tots and clean water right.
Corporate needs to educate these employees on what the difference is between a Frozen limeade and a fresh fruit line slush! It doesn’t matter which Sonic I go to, they ALWAYS give me the frozen limeade even when I area to then EVERY TIME that “I DO NOT WANT FROZEN LIMEADE. I WANT THE FRESH FRUIT LINE SLUSH”. At this Sonic, the last at the window looked so confused and had no idea what I was talking about.
Do better Sonic!!
And this generic response I’ve seen to any other complaint…” if you would like to escalate your feedback to the franchise owner…” Just stop. Get people that do their jobs, or actually do something. It’s sad and pathetic. This was a Saturday afternoon; If you’re not ready for that volume at that time, just close the store entirely. We arrived at 11:22AM, and still arrived late for our obligation at noon, despite being less than 7 minutes away. Do better or don’t bother.
