This was our first visit and we had a great time! The staff was friendly and helpful. The food and drinks were delicious. Our portions were massive! We had a great experience and will definitely be visiting again soon!

Very fun place for dinner! The decor is really fun with an old time fun feel. The service was excellent and the food was good. The salad bar is a nice touch. Definitely worth a stop, especially for people who like to have a lot of things to look at during a meal.

Salad bar is usually great. That’s was what some ordered as their dinner! What happened guys? Last night, it was a big zero. No potato salad. Two versions of a pasta salad (?), one almost empty. Pea salad, empty. Had it not been a family birthday, I would have complained while there. Lettuce & veggies are just a side salad, not a salad bar.

The restaurant has a cool inside vibe. The food is another story. The pizza I ordered the dough was doughy. not cooked all the way, I ate the toppings, and the beer was warm. This is all unacceptable.
I had to add a glass of water twice. They were not that busy for a Friday night.

Came in on a whim for my mothers birthday. Cool place, décor, and environment was nice enough. Pricing was on pricier side as my bill was $122 for three meals and a bottle of house red wine. Furthermore, I had to help an older man in a wheel chair in the bathroom cause the doors were to small and tight. Felt bad for the man. NO HANDYCAP STALLS. Pressing on, our waitress Valerie was running the show. I saw her none stop working. Great job Valerie! Will come back and try a calzone or pizza next time.

Love this old school little gem. Tons of charm, delicious food and inviting staff.

Steak dinner is such a great value. One of the last places around that still has a salad bar!

They also had a pickle pizza that I’m hoping comes back around.

10/10 would recommend if you enjoy supporting local businesses with history and vintage vibe.

We first discovered this restaurant about 5 years ago, and the food and experience were great, so we ate here a handful of times each year since. Over the last several visits, we noticed some changes that were disappointing (changes to recipes, increased prices, decreased portions, etc) but we weren’t ready to cut it out of our restaurant rotation until our experience tonight.

The first clue that something was wrong was when my husband noticed a page of his menu was missing. When we handed them back to the waitress, we kindly mentioned that it was missing a page and she thanked us and kind of brushed it off by saying something along the lines of, ‘oh, there’s a lot of changes going on, it’s just a thing’.

We enjoyed our salad (though my husband was disappointed that his bowl of Caesar salad was quite a bit smaller than the plates provided for the salad bar that the rest of us had opted for), and some of us enjoyed the cheesy bread (my mom was disappointed that the bread was so thin, because the menu’s picture of cheesy bread was much thicker). We had also noticed the small appetizer plates were pretty filthy on the bottom, so they left dirty spots on each other when we received them stacked. We didn’t mention it, giving the benefit of the doubt at the time.

However, when we received our meals, the tops of all 4 of our dishes had these dirty marks/streaks on them, touching our food! The plates were not stained, as the grease wiped away with napkins. We kindly told our server that all of our plates were dirty, and we were concerned. She called her lead over (not sure if she was the manager or a supervisor) and she went on to explain that the pizza oven leaves the black residue on everything in the kitchen! She said it was normal (though we had never had this happen before at this restaurant or any other pizza restaurant), and she also commented that it can’t be helped because when the dishes are washed together it just sticks to everything. We were really concerned by this, so when she asked what we wanted her to do about it, we were honest and said we would like to eat dinner elsewhere. We were kind and tried to be discreet as to not bother other customers eating their meals, but she loudly asked the server to remove all of our plates and was flat out rude in doing so.

We had every intention of paying for our drinks, salads and cheesy bread; but there was no opportunity to do so because we very quickly felt unwelcome. It was a very uncomfortable situation to be in, but we were glad to eat dinner off of clean plates at another pizza restaurant in town.

Our party of 4 had 3 different pizzas. Each represented its own flavor and satisfied. As a Chicago born and FED person, I am sorry to say that the “Chicago style” offered here was not from my experience. The side salads were quite good.

I love the ambiance here. Picture the movie return to me and the O’reillys Italian restaurant, but add in some older decor and more neon lights. Think of an old Shakey’s pizza restaurant as well, but better for a date. Our server was awesome and the food was delicious. Coming back for sure!

When I arrived to pick up my order I saw it on top of fridge done. While I waited at front counter for someone to acknowledge I was waiting, the server continued to take others who came in after me and seat them. I waited another 20 minutes, no wonder my food was cold and soggy. I spent $68.74 on lunch and it was not worth my time and money spent. Unfortunately this is not the first time this has happened. It appears the servers give priority to dine in over take out. More than likely I will not come back here
