Food: Ordered the bison burger and pepperoni pizza. The burger was pretty good but was give a ketchup packet for the fries? Like im eating at burger king or mcdonals. The pepperoni pizza tasted like something you can cook at home in a oven so not so impressed.

Service: terrible only 1 server looked to be working like a chicken running around so it took awhile to be seated. BUT right off the back they forgot our water even when we asked for some. The drinks took awhile to get to us as well. After our first order of drinks we asked for a 2nd round of drinks only to be forgotten about and for our server to come back later to ask if we wanted more drinks. Felt like I had dementia.

This was on a Saturday night so if you want the same experience just go grab a pizza from the local super market and a shooter from the local gas station and grab yourself a burger from somewhere else where you can get more then one ketchup packet.

Ordered the dirty bowl salad and was so impressed to find a bar style restaurant with actual vegetables. The salad was filling with rice, quinoa, salmon and flavourful with all the veggies (sprouts, chickpeas, real lettuce; not just iceberg, beets and carrots) that I was craving after a few days of travel.
I can’t even find this down south when I’m at home. Go Whitehorse go!

(Dirty Northern bar) Food was really good, reasonable price too, but the this one server was super rude. I thought the gradituity was included but it was only 5% so I tipped her 2 dollars more and she said out loud for everyone to hear “oh wow 2 dollars tip? Thats really nice”. The whole table got quiet after that and shifted all of our mood… but everything else was super nice

Good food but I think they are running a scam with the bill. Check mine out. There was a pitcher of beer that was split with a friend 50/50. I was told by staff, it just shows full price but the total is made from half.

Burger $26.50
1/2 pitcher $13
= $39.5
Add 5% gst = $41.47 TOTAL

it’s only a couple dollars but its the principal. Check your bills people!

We were walk in, and numorous tables were open. We ordered bison burgers and sweet potato fries which were absolutely yummy. Our service however, was extremely poor. We watched another waitress monitoring her tables frequently. While we were’nt able to get water refills, and had to ask for the dessert menu. Finally, When I asked if we had done something to offend her, the waitress replied with a no. Maybe the young waitress with long black hair had personal problems or just was resentful that she had to work.

We visited Whitehorse for a few days and tried numerous restaurants. This is the only place where we had a bad experience. We arrived mid-evening, and said we’d start with drinks and then order food. Things got off to a bad start when we found a long hair in one of our cocktails, but we eventually managed to flag down our server, who quickly replaced it. After about an hour of enjoying our drinks, we flagged down our server again, and said we were ready to submit our food order. She grumpily told us the kitchen had closed 20 minutes ago, and suggested going somewhere else to eat.

What kind of business doesn’t have its staff tell customers – who they know want food – when the kitchen is closing? Very rude.

We would not return.

I used to enjoy dining here, but the service over the last few visits has been disappointing. Tonight, we were left waiting for over 40 minutes while several tables that arrived after us were served, finishing their meals, and even ordered the same items we did. We were later told that one of our meals is ready and waiting while only the second dish still needed to be prepared, which raised concerns that the first meal might have been served cold or soggy. No one checked on us during the wait, servers were difficult to get the attention of, and there was no follow-up to address the missing food other than to remind what was ordered. We decided to just pay for our drinks and leave. What was meant to be a relaxing reunion with good food and drinks ended as fast food instead.

If you like a warm, inviting, and chill atmosphere with an extensive and interesting cocktail list, good service, expert and personable bartender and awesome music (the 90s are alive!), then do not miss Sheep Camp! The craft cocktail bar attached to the Miner’s Daughter/Dirty Northern, we found this place by mistake and we so glad! We also went to the Dirty Northern, which had great service, music and a nice beer selection. The apps were huge, definitely more than enough for two people. Would highly recommend checking out Sheep Camp!

I would say the atmosphere is quite nice for hanging out with friends but the good and service was quite disappointing. Service was a bit slow, it took us long time to be able to order our food because no one was taking our orders. And once the burgers that we ordered arrived, they were all burned, I know they’re supposed to be grilled but my burger was literally black and burned and it tasted bitter.
I would come back for the atmosphere but not for the food which is not good and it’s pricey.

The key lime pie is the reason I keep coming back every time I’m in Whitehorse. The key lime pie is the reason I look forward to every Whitehorse work trip. Everything else is great, especially the ribs. They make a mean steak as well. Love the vibe too. There’s a reason it’s always bumping in there. *only thing they can improve is the lighting for key lime pie pics
