Our party of 14 was treated very well. Our sever was great and the food was delicious. We were celebrating a birthday and the employees brought out a somber and whip cream to smash on the birthday person’s face as a surprise. We had a great time.

To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to formally express my concern regarding an incident that occurred during my recent visit to El Nopal in Shepherdsville, Kentucky, involving the treatment of my legally recognized service animal.
While dining at your establishment, a member of the waitstaff questioned the presence and legitimacy of my service animal in a manner that was unnecessary and inappropriate. Although we had all required documentation available, it should never have been required to produce it, nor should attention have been drawn to the animal in a public setting.
My service animal is highly trained, exceptionally well-behaved, has traveled internationally, and has appeared on television. He remained calm and unobtrusive throughout our visit. No other patrons would have been aware of his presence had it not been for the actions of the staff member involved.
The interaction created an uncomfortable and embarrassing situation for us. This was the first time we have experienced such treatment, and it was particularly disappointing to encounter it in our own community.
I hope this matter can be addressed through appropriate staff education regarding service animal laws and proper guest interaction, so that others do not experience a similar situation in the future.

Stopped by here for a quick dinner during our road trip. The food is spectacular! The staff and our waitress were awesome. The portion sizes are enormous. I ordered the quesadilla with chorizo, chicken and potatoes and it was enough to feed a small army. I wish I lived near here because I would be here all the time!

Drove here from Detroit. The Mexican cuisine was awesome the chips and salsa were fresh and delicious. The menu was large and varied. The service was great we ordered the steak fajitas lunch and the portions were huge. The tortillas were fresh and tasty

Saw the parking was packed and walked in. I was greeted and seated promptly. The menu was full of tasty choices. I went with one of my faves, the chile colorado.
The chips were fresh and salted just right. Two salsas accompanied them. One was mild, and the other was a slight bit hotter. Both were pretty good.
My order was in front of me in no time! It was a generous portion! It looked amazing. It tasted great. The chile colorado sauce was perfect, and the steak had no gristle. The rice and beanz were good to go.
I knocked one star for the store bought tortillas. They were pre-wrapped in aluminum foil. I could tell due to the outside tort being dry and crumbly.
Overall a great meal. I look forward to coming back and trying the carnitas!

First time eating here and I gotta say, I’m impressed. After hearing about this place for years, I finally had a chance to eat here and I was torn about what to order. Everything looked great and I settled for the Pork burrito. Every bite was exquisite and I wish I had room for (and the money) more dishes. Definitly a place to come back to, even if it’s popularity does mean that they are pretty packed most days
