My wife and I ate at there the other day. The Northwood restaurant was fantastic. I had the white fish platter and it was as good as any fish I have eaten. My wife had the meatloaf platter and she said that it was almost as good as hers and hers is fantastic. It was a great meal for both of us. Please keep the fish and meatloaf on the menu. A big thank you to the cook.

It’s a great place that I do recommend especially if you never had big boy before. Kurt at the drive thru was amazing. He’s been there for years, and he is awesome and polite. Reason for the 3 stars was pretty disappointed in my fries cold and barley half way filled. I thought there might’ve fell out and were in the bag but no.

I’ve never been to a Big Boy before, since most of the ones in the Chicago area closed up before I was born. It’s a diner with your standard diner fare. That being said, this location was good. The staff were friendly, and the food came out quick. I had the chicken tender meal with fries and green beans, as well as an appetizer of fried pickles. The food was pretty good! My Mom enjoyed her meal as well. The restaurant was pretty clean. If I’m passing through, I wouldn’t hesitate to stop here again.

I normally love a Big Boy and fries.
However, this location is absolutely terrible. Don’t waste your time or money here.
First off, the female on the drive through speaker is a nasty person. Not friendly, snotty, unhappy person.
The drive through speaker doesn’t work. It’s completely static and you can’t understand the person at the other end and then to have to deal with a nasty person. Uh, no.
The food was ALL completely cold… ALL, and we were ordering for 3 people. EVERY SINGLE THING WAS COLD. Now, not like it was hot and is now only warm but completely COLD. We had to microwave all of it and one of the items ordered was steamed broccoli… there was literally 4 pieces of broccoli.
Come on… do better.
I will not be back. Treat me bad once and I’m done.
And I PROMISE… I will tell everyone not to waste money or time at that establishment.
You know, if people are unhappy at their place of employment, find another job. Don’t screw customers over because you never know who you may be doing your next interview.

Absolutely Twilight Zone experience! Stopped to eat after shopping,waitress came right over,took our drink order,brought the drinks,said be right back,20 minutes later(should have been our clue to leave),she took our orders,waited for almost 45 minutes or more,went up and asked her how much longer as she never came back after dropping off the drinks to check on us or apologize for the long wait,part of the food comes out,my son requested no mayo and his hamburger bun had mayo just dripping down the sides,my sister and I didn’t get our onion rings,which she said I’ll bring right back and never brought back a new sandwich and fries for my son or our onion rings,our fries were cold,hamburgers were not freshly made,waitress said I won’t charge you and offered dessert, and never told us why we never got the rest of our food,we finally left,horrible,horrible service!!

I like Frisch’s and this location did not disappoint. Clean and tidy dinning room area and friendly staff. No complaints about the food or anything else. Would definitely stop back in if in the area again.

Very upset beware do not go to this restaurant!! The staff was very racist went here with my family and we waited over an hour for our food that we never got. The restaurant was not busy at all and we watch them bring food to all the customers that were Caucasian and we were there 1st before everyone else. When we asked our waitress about our food she still didn’t know when they were making our food. They didn’t want us there. Very uncomfortable and unwelcoming atmosphere. We had to get up and leave.

Sat there for over an hour… 15 minutes there she finally comes and takes our drink order, as we sat there more tables came in … finally she came and took our food order then the other server took the table behind us, then the same server took other tables order. A table of 12 came in our server took their order.. thinking good thing she took our order before the big table… HA….our order was taken before the 2 small tables, and before the table of 12 top but low and behold…they all got their food, and yes we were STILL WAITING ON OUR FOOD!!! So that was enough… we got up and left!! The server blamed the kitchen, not surprised! Well we sat there for an hour and 15 minutes!! We will NEVER step foot in there again!! She NEVER came by to check on us, or to explain why EVERYBODY that came in after us got their food, and we waited for such a long time

One of the cleaner big boys. Food was spot on. Tasted great. Waitress was very fast and nice.
