Social Profile:

Half Day Cafe is a truly local breakfast, brunch & lunch only eatery that was started by a neighborhood family that wanted to operate a neighborhood restaurant—about as Mom and Pop as it gets. The menu at Half Day reflects the seasonal – and sometimes daily – availability of fresh and local ingredients. Our coffee is roasted in Blue Ash, our bread is baked on Red Bank Road, and the fresh flowers on the tables come from the local florist. We trust you’ll recognize our efforts to provide our customers with something special. We strive for fresh, interesting food served by warm, friendly people in a bright, clean atmosphere, and hope to become your new favorite place for the best breakfast, lunch and everything in between!

Half Day Café was a great experience. The goetta hash was absolutely wonderful—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Our server, Liv, was fantastic and made sure my wife got exactly what she wanted with just strawberries in her fruit bowl. Friendly service and delicious food made for a very enjoyable visit. I’ll definitely be back!

The Food was Amazingly Delicious! I genealogy never would’ve thought that, Carnitas, Fried Eggs, and Grits would go together to become such a Vibrant New Flavor for Breakfast… But, it definitely does! Very Well actually! Staff was all very Friendly and Knowledge of their product. We’ll definitely be going back!

Went to this place on Saturday morning for brunch. It was moderately crowded, but we got a table immediately. The service was excellent—our food order was taken and served quickly. Great service overall!

We ordered a skillet scramble and a build-your-own omelet. Both tasted okay. The omelet was flat, not fluffy, and the taste was average. We also ordered an omelet roll and a quesadilla for the kids, but they didn’t like their food. Overall, the food was average. Maybe I’ll give it another chance and try something else.

Food and coffee were fantastic. Service seemed a bit rushed but friendly. Definitely do not like the 2 person tables so close to each other. Impossible to talk to the person across from you with other conversations so close

My husband and I were visiting Mason for the Cincinnati Open and this was in a convenient location to stop for breakfast on our way to the tournament. We loved it so much the first day that we went back again the next morning. The first day we had the Cherry Cheesecake Stuffed French Toast and the Bowl of Goodness. The second day we had a Half Day Benedict and the Banana Pecan Pancakes. Everything was so good, but my favorite were the pancakes!

The second day we were there the owner sat down and talked with us about the tennis tournament, his experience with volunteering for the tournament, and shared a lot of great suggestions for what to do with our time in Cincinnati. (By the way, the food tour was exceptional!)

The service was great, the food was amazing, and the prices were very reasonable. We would definitely come back!

We found this cafe by accident. What a happy accident it was. The food and service were fantastic.
If you like eggs Benedict, you have to try their take on this dish. The toasted croissant and charred tomato hollandaise really make this dish stand out.
