This is the perfect sized cafe with booth, table and counter seating. The menu is right sized too – not too big where decisions are hard. We fined for breakfast around 10:30 and the diners were steady. The croissant buns for breakfast sandwiches was so good. And fresh made hash browns/American fries!
Purchased cinnamon rolls and a fresh loaf of bread to go.
Definitely will return!

We got so much delicious food for such good prices. Everyone in our group left full and happy. A special shoutout to our server, Lora, who absolutely made our experience fantastic . She was attentive, fun, and genuinely caring, keeping the energy high and making sure we had everything we needed the entire time. It’s rare to find someone who can manage a big group with that much patience and personality, but she did it effortlessly.
Highly recommend Rosie’s for great food, great value, and amazing service. We’ll definitely be back to visit Lora!!

5 Stars for Rosie’s Café – A Hidden Gem Worth the Detour!
While driving home from Rochester, Minnesota to West Michigan, we were on the hunt for a great local breakfast spot — something with character, not just another national chain. That’s when we found Rosie’s Café, and let me tell you, it was worth every mile of the detour.
Located just outside of town in a quiet neighborhood, Rosie’s is small, charming, and absolutely packed — a sure sign that locals know what’s up. We actually missed our exit and had to backtrack through town about five miles, but it gave us a chance to see the area and build anticipation.
When we arrived, the place was buzzing. It’s not a huge space, so there isn’t much room to wait inside, and the communication on whether to seat ourselves or wait could have been clearer. That said, the staff was friendly and handled the crowd like pros. We were seated within 10–15 minutes, which flew by.
Once seated, we were greeted quickly and warmly. The menu had tons of great options — everything from classic breakfasts to local favorites. We had a few questions and custom requests, and our server was super accommodating. Despite how busy it was, the service was attentive and upbeat.
The food? Hot, hearty, and absolutely delicious. Generous portions, great presentation, and flavors that made it clear everything was made with care. We left full and happy, no question about that.
One highlight? Their homemade cinnamon rolls with house-made icing — you can take a half dozen to go for under $17. Of course, I grabbed six… and asked for one extra with icing on top for the road. No regrets.
Rosie’s Café is a small-town treasure with big flavor and genuine hospitality. If you’re ever passing through this stretch of Wisconsin, make the stop — it’s worth it.
Thanks, Rosie’s! We’ll definitely be back.

Rosie’s is a smaller breakfast place with lower prices and high quality food. They are cash only but because they are cash only the prices are very affordable. My wife and I have been there many times and ordered a variety of itwms off their menu and each time we are amazed by the flavor of the food and how much we got. The Servers are very courteous and they make sure your water glass is full and that you have everything you need. The location is tucked away so you don’t get a lot of big groups. The atmoshpere is very home like and the food is 10/10.

Rosie’s Cafe is the best restaurant in La Crosse. My girlfriend and I have become weekly regulars over the past year, and we look forward to it all week. The food is delicious and comforting, and the service is always top notch.

Rosie’s is a small, traditional diner. We both shared a cinnamon roll which was nicely sweet and the dough was very soft. This was very good and the best thing we had – 5/5 stars for that hands down. We also ordered “The Deuce” which consists of 2 eggs, 2 bacon or sausage, 2 pancakes, and toast. Respectfully, all of those were very average and didn’t deliver anything special. The bacon was crispy, the pancakes slightly undercooked, and my sunny side up eggs had nice big yolks. The place is noticeably small, with several would-be patrons deciding to leave because there was no available tables. Also, there’s a table in the back that is specifically for parties of 5 only….I don’t believe there’s a sign on that table because numerous groups of 3-4 people tried sitting there, only to be promptly moved by a server (or just ended up leaving the restaurant). They have a patio but it wasn’t open due to forecasted rain. The patio is dog friendly.
