I’ve visited Palmdale for work on three occasions over the past three months.. I’ve visited Baracoa two of of those three times..
On my first ever visit in Dec 2025, I sampled the Vaca Frita Sandwich featuring tender shredded beef seared crispy with grilled onions and mayo.. The Vaca Frita was quite flavorful and was amply portioned.. I truly enjoyed that first dining experience..
My second visit (Feb 2026) had me trying the Ensalada de Pollo with balsamic vinegarette dressing on the side.. Again, the portion size was quite robust and the salad was served cold and crisp.. The grilled chicken was a nice addition, too..
On both occasions I enjoyed classic Mojitos and we dined on the patio.. Tonight’s weather was perfect and the ambiance offered by the outdoor firepits was a nice touch..
Juan M did an outstanding job serving our group of 12 or so and delivered everything to everybody exactly as we ordered it.. His efficiency was impressive..
Cristina S delivered similar outstanding service to our party of four during our visit in December..
I am looking forward to future visits as business brings me back to Palmdale in the future..

We were visiting this area and this restaurant was highly recommended. We went last Saturday night and they had 2 awesome performers. Glad that I made a reservation so we could sit outside where the performers were. Our server was attentive though he was busy. The food and drinks were delicious.

Absolutely amazing. This is hands down the best Cuban restaurant I’ve tried in California. I was born and raised in Cuba, so I know what real Cuban food should taste like and this place truly delivers.
The food was outstanding. I had the ropa vieja with black beans, white rice, and fried plantains, and it was perfection. Every bite tasted like home. Desserts were also excellent.
Service was just as great, Jose was our server and he was fantastic, and we even had the pleasure of meeting the chef Carlos. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and beautifully done.
Highly recommend. I can’t wait to come back.

Our party of two came here on a Tuesday evening at 6 PM for dinner. We were seated promptly and the helpful wait staff came and took our order shortly thereafter. We ordered the ceviche and the traditional Cubano. I was shocked as to the portion size for the ceviche, normally restaurants will skimp on the protein, but this one was loaded with shrimp and I absolutely loved it. It was incredibly flavorful with the mango and avocado slices. That was great, but the standout for me was the traditional Cuban sandwich. I’ve had a few cubanos before, but this one ranks as one of my favorites. The list of ingredients is simple, but it was so incredibly delicious. I definitely recommend coming here if you’re in the area!

The vibe here was great! The music was really good and at the perfect volume, we could enjoy it and still talk. Great ambiance, especially the outdoor area. Service was phenomenal; courteous, prompt, anticipatory. Loved the drinks also! Only letdown for me was the food. Very average, nothing stood out which didn’t work with the menu prices. Which was a shame because everything else was on point.

Wow what a beautiful day to eat on the patio at this place! Brought my dghtr for her bday dinner and I’ve been longing to have the oxtails. I had no idea they had this shrimp and oxtails plate. Seriously this hearty meal hit all the notes. I preferred plantains over the black beans and the server was super nice about it. This plate is called Mar y Tierra which is surf and turf. Generous portion of braised oxtails and perfectly cooked shrimp.

Huge shout-out to this wonderful Cuban spot! My daughter works here and suggested we give it a try, and it did not disappoint.
The Food: My chicken sandwich was delicious, the oxtails were a huge hit with my wife, and the grandkids loved the Chico chicken tenders.
