I stopped by this Del Taco around 8:48 PM, and honestly, I was surprised-it was completely empty inside and I was literally the only person in the drive-thru. Despite that, the service was amazing. The guy taking my order was super upbeat and enthusiastic, which you don’t always see that late at night.
My food came out really fast (as it should when you’re the only one there), but what stood out was his energy and attitude. A lot of reviews complain about this location, but my experience was the opposite-quick service, friendly staff, and overall a great visit.
I thought it was worth leaving a positive review because service like that deserves recognition.

Food portions are so small it’s not worth going to eat here anymore. Two mix and match burritos for $9. I remember it was 2 for $6 and they would fill you up. Now it’s like 5 bites and it’s done(kids meal size). I used to really like del taco and always preferred it over taco bell. Taco bell is just a better deal now a days. Wish I lived near the original del taco in Barstow where the portions are still huge. Pretty sad. I don’t recommend eating here. You might as well sit down at a authentic Mexican restaurant it will be more filling and flavorful and not to mention real Mexican food. These fast food joints are losing customers by the boat load due to shrinkflation. They will all soon go bankrupt as most already are.

I have never been into fastfood . Growing up the only spot I went to was Taco Bell. As an adult who lives an hour 1/2 from town I don’t frequent fast food spots. That was until Del Taco fish tacos, some 8 yrs ago. They were delicious perfect every time. I no longer buy them as the quality changed , but there are many other delicious items. My current favorite is Carne Asada fries , So freaking delicious and fresh. I never get any stomach issues from Del Taco, most food Ieat cause indigestion. Surprisingly not with Del. The Carmel cheese cake bites r a favorite and their drinks selection is always more then just the average coke Pepsi… They have season specific items, are reasonably priced and I have never had to wait an inordinate amount of time. Staff so friendly and helpful I give them tips !

The best late night meal at the best laye night deal. And being Redding, late night starts after 9pm on a weekday, 10pm wknds. God Blesz this del Taco and its dedicated workers, whose duty involves feeding the hungry. A very important job.

Even though when I was trying a new menu item, I was not aware of all of the ingredients. So when my nachos came with green chilies on it. They were willing to make me a new 1. Although it was my mistake for not asking what comes on the nachos

Purchases to large meals and this is what both fries came to be. I didn’t realize until I got home that the amount of fries was so small. I even ordered the Epic Burrito and normally it’s huge. This time it was the size of a small bean burrito. I get shrinkflation but this will surely will lose my business. If I’m gonna pay $35 for 2 large meals, I want it to be what I pay for. And if it’s employee laziness, you’re getting paid $20 per hour or more. Come on guys!!

Certainly isn’t what it used to be. To say it’s gone, downhill is an understatement. However, the people that work there were kind, courteous polite friendly. The Establishment was very clean.
