A Perfect Spot to Unwind — Amazing Food, Drinks & Exceptional Service

I had a very stressful day and, while driving home, decided to stop by Paul Martin’s American Grill in Scottsdale. The last time I visited, I sat in one of the booths with someone and had a really nice experience — so coming back felt comforting, almost nostalgic. I walked in during their happy hour and was seated at the bar, and honestly, it turned my entire day around.

My bartender, Ms. Hunter, was absolutely wonderful. She was friendly, attentive, and super knowledgeable about the menu. She made great recommendations, took her time explaining the drink options, and made me feel really welcomed. I ordered a Lemon Drop, an Old Fashioned, and the Spicy Chicken Sandwich with Cajun fries and their chili aioli sauce — hands-down one of the best meals. The flavors were perfect, the portions were generous, and the quality is exactly why this is one of my favorite restaurants in Scottsdale.

Paul Martin’s consistently delivers amazing food, warm ambiance, and a great selection of seasonal happy hour items. The restaurant is very clean, the atmosphere is polished yet cozy, and the team here knows how to take care of their guests. Plenty of parking is available, and they even offer complimentary valet and a free parking lot, which makes things so convenient. If you’re coming during busy hours, I recommend making an OpenTable reservation — but if you prefer the bar, you might get lucky like I did and find a great seat, even on a weekday.

Big shoutout to the entire team here for maintaining such high standards. I left feeling so much better than when I walked in. Whether you’re coming to relax, celebrate, or just enjoy great food and drinks, this location is truly worth checking out. I’m very happy I stopped by — can’t wait to be back!

Paul Martin’s American Grill is one of those places that instantly makes you feel like you chose correctly for the night. From the second you walk in, the vibe is on point—stylish, energetic, and comfortable all at once. It feels elevated without being pretentious and lively without being overwhelming ✨

We kicked things off with the artichoke dip —warm, creamy, and wildly addictive. The kind of appetizer that everyone says they’ll “just have a bite of”… and then keeps reaching back in. Right alongside it, the grilled artichoke halves were perfectly charred with that subtle smokiness, bright lemon notes, and a pesto aioli that tied everything together beautifully. Simple, fresh, and done really well.

Then came the star of the show: the braised pork rib . Fall-off-the-bone tender, rich, and deeply flavorful—comfort food that feels refined but still indulgent. This is the dish you order once and then recommend to everyone you know. No notes.

The service was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and perfectly timed. Glasses never sat empty, questions were answered without hovering, and the whole experience felt smooth and effortless. Exactly how dining out should feel.

Add in the warm atmosphere, great energy, and a menu that clearly knows what it’s doing, and Paul Martin’s becomes a place you’ll keep coming back to—for celebrations, date nights, or just because ️

Highly recommend. Come hungry. Leave happy. ✨

First time at Paul Martin’s, went for happy hour because we’re going to the theatre afterwards and didn’t want to feel stuffed at the show. So this was a good alternative, quick and light -if you call burgers light. My wife had the smash burger with garlic truffle aioli sauce(she said that was the best part which complimented the burger). She liked the crispy fries too. I had the Angus burger, a real treat for someone who’s been trying to avoid too much saturated fat. Had mine with avocado, blue cheese (admittedly a strange combo, but thats what I choose and i tell you it wasnt bad) and other trimmings described in one of the photos. While my wife liked her plain crispy fries, I savored my sweet potato fries. Pretty good for the price,$18 each for the sandwiches and drinks. We’ll have to come here again.

Had a fantastic experience at Paul Martin’s! I was in a rush for a business meeting, and the service was incredibly fast and efficient without feeling rushed. It was peaceful and quiet right at opening, the waitress was very kind, and the tacos were tasty. Highly recommend for a quick, quality lunch!

This place looks amazing inside with a nice seating area and a cool bar. The service was awesome, and both our cab sav and mai tai were spot on. We loved the Mediterranean chicken salad and the spicy chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries super fresh, tasty, and definitely worth coming back for.

Always a great experience at Paul Martin’s American Grill. Great service, food, and atmosphere are expected and delivered consistently. We had a bit of confusion early because we went at 4PM during Happy Hour, however we were not sitting in the high tops bar area. We were a few feet away in a booth near the bar. So make sure if you go for Happy Hour, you sit in the bar area. Other than the Happy Hour conversation, Paul Martin’s was great with service and food and recognized our anniversary with a fabulous dessert. We thank the attention we received from the hostess and our server, Hunter I believe was her name.

Pretty good food. Limited menu, which isn’t always a bad thing. They definitely like spicy sauce dishes. Kind of pricey for what you get in my opinion but that’s all relative I suppose. Staff was super friendly.
