Had brunch today- it was great but be careful of the time you choose to go or you get roped into the Brunch Buffet. It would be nice to have the option of the regular menu or the buffet. I understand how chaotic having both menu options may make the kitchen, but having both options would be nice. The brunch pricing fits with all of the food options offered. Our server was great and very personable!

Live music was very good and made the atmosphere enjoyable!

Today march 2 I have always been a customer throughout the year at Bricksude grill, held family events there always enjoyed their food
For the past 5 yrs I had hit hard times. Had a daughter on a feeding tube for almost 4 years used all my savings couldn’t work full time sold much in house to get by. My oven takes 3 hours to cook a small chicken breast and buying the skins is cheaper then the electric. I wanted something good and easy to eat not too expensive potato skins and i was greeted by such a happy and kind manager. I had 14.00 cash and a credit card. The manager gave me a help. He didn’t know what I was going through and he doesn’t know his kindness helped me so much. I got in my car and cried. So I just want to thank him I truly appreciated his kindness. I never met such a kind manager in a restaurant ever.

Attended Mother’s Day brunch. Made reservation about 2 months in advance.
This is my big critique: The table we were sat at was in the way of the walking path for servers and guests. There was only about 2 feet between the back of my chair and the table behind me. I was bumped into at least 15 times while sitting at the table eating. I understand they were very busy for Mother’s day but it was a large nuisance considering what we were paying for a party of t at the brunch. The buffet was restocked quickly and had a very large selection. The oysters were large and full. The blBloody Mary’s base was a bit thin for my liking but they did not lack in spirits.

We came before a movie just to grab a bite and decided on appetizers. It’s a seafood restaurant, so the clam chowder and lobster bisque were top of mind.

The lobster bisque was excellent. Well seasoned, clearly prepared with care as it was velvety and quite deep in flavor.

The clam chowder, not so much. It smelled and tasted heavily of bacon, and was closer to a loaded backed potato soap than a traditional clam chowder. Potatoes were mushy, it was missing chives and lacked the sort of layered flavor one would expect for a chowder.

The bread was excellent. Cold bricks of butter were an odd choice. Taking the time to whip some butter would’ve made more sense for a restaurant that makes it own rolls. Just an odd choice.

We ordered wings with a Thai chili. The sauce was good but clearly just drizzled on the wings instead of them actually being coated and tossed in the sauce. The wings were crispy and well-prepared but not well seasoned – if you took a bite that didn’t have sauce, you were eating a plain piece of chicken. This is a technique issue IMO.

The worst dish was the calamari by a mile. It was oily and seemed to come straight from the fryer. They fried the sweet peppers which is OK, but the peppers were cut too small so you ended up with flavorless pepper chips that were weird and greasy. They had a great crisp but otherwise were really sad.

I think we’ll come back for entrées. I’ve had the crab cakes, which are phenomenal – so I’m hoping this was just a bad night for the kitchen.

The food was amazing. Many flavors that were to die for. Crab cakes were top notch. Environment was nice and casual, not too classy. Prices were very reasonably priced and lots of options. Even kids meals were reasonable ($7 & $8). Wines and other drinks were well priced for the area, I was expecting more expensive drinks. But the cheaper drinks allowed for more freedom on the menu.

Our friends treated us to a seafood lunch here. My crabcake sandwich was all fresh grilled crabmeat (no filler) and very tasty. The sandwiches come with a lot of french fries. They were crisp and fresh. I had enough fries to take home for another meal. The restaurant ambiance is nice, and the service was good. Our friends shared that the restaurant opens its patio and hosts musical performances in the summer.

My first time here. The atmosphere is great, the service was a little slow but I expected that during dinner time. The appetizers were really good, clams and mussels. My crab stuffed shrimp entree was delicious! My partner’s salmon entree was somewhat mediocre though and for the price of the meals (he only ate the salmon and left the rest) I felt that wasnt worth the 5 stars. Nice spot though.
