My family and I celebrated my birthday at Capo tonight. It was fantastic! The atmosphere was so nice seated next to a floor to ceiling fireplace. The food is amazing! Laia, our server, was one of the best servers I have ever had. I would highly recommend this place. I can’t wait to go back!

Went for jazz night and the performance was wonderful, absolutely loved the vibe and the band. The let down was the food and service. Everything was super oily and heavy and salty. We got back home with a stomach pain which continued the next day. Also they took away our plates and cutlery for appetizers to clean up, and brought us the main courses,
but never came back with a fresh set, we had to grab one waiters attention for that. Would love to come back for the music but don’t want to deal with stomach pain again, make some healthy food! You can see how much oil there is on the what supposed to be healthy baked beets and carrots.

First and foremost, I have to talk about the atmosphere and ambiance which is really what made this place stand out to me. It is absolutely gorgeous inside and very large! The lighting is dark but not to dark and the wall to wall bar with the large glass mirror is beautiful.

The food was 4/5 – meatballs were delicious but slight overcooked and the sauce was burned in the cast iron small skillet. Wasn’t a fan of that but the meatballs themselves, cooked almost perfectly.

The bolognese was lacking in flavor in my opinion even with the whipped ricotta. Personally would choose the chicken Parmesan next time as the table next to me ordered it and it look magnificent.

Came here for brunch with a group of 9. The place was empty when we arrived, and seating by the windows was cold so we asked to be moved. The staff was accommodating and closed them. I ordered the Rib Eye & Eggs, it was very good (though I was starving, so maybe that helped!). Tried the Bloom mocktail, which was sweet and tasty, but a little inconsistent since the three of us who ordered it all got different looking drinks, some with ice some without. My only complaint is my drink took about 15–20 minutes to arrive while everyone else was almost done enjoying theirs. On the plus side, the bathroom was very chic and clean. Overall, a solid brunch spot.

I went on a Thursday, which they do jazz night downstairs. It was phenomenal, the drinks also too. They did a dinner for two for 65$ with 1 appetizer, a meal, and a dessert. Highly recommend. The performance band was fantastic! I got a flower from the artist (:

Capo in South Boston is a neighborhood gem—Italian food at its absolute best. Chef Ciron, a proud Sicilian, clearly knows exactly what he’s doing. My personal favorite is the Wagyu beef carpaccio, elevated to brilliance with black truffle and Japanese dashi vinaigrette, a flavor combination that delivers layers of umami and proves his genius. The cacio e pepe instantly transported me back to Rome, while the sweet corn ravioli, sourced locally, reminded me of summer in Boston. Every dish feels like a story that bridges tradition and creativity.
Service is consistently on point—warm, attentive, and perfectly balanced between professional and personal. Leadership at Capo sets the standard, and you feel it in every detail of the experience. Beyond the food, the vibe is unbeatable: fun events every night that make it not just a restaurant, but a destination.
If you haven’t been yet, Capo is the kind of place you absolutely cannot miss. Bold flavors, heartfelt hospitality, and an atmosphere that keeps you coming back. This is South Boston’s culinary crown jewel.

Im so pissed, for a while I contemplated about ordering from this place and I knew I should have never! Small portions, almost 30$, it’s a complete rip off! This is broccoli Pesto orecchiette substitute with gnocchi. Tastes horrible but also is tasteless. Does not taste like Pesto. Suppose to have lemon, but absolutely does not. And there’s a billion fennel seeds because to shred the sausage enough to feed a 9 month old. I feel sick after eating it cause it’s so dam oilly, just straight garbage!

I’ve been ordering back to back shrimp scampi for the past year bc it is my favorite dish. I’ve only ordered through Uber Eats ever and never sat down in the restaurant itself due to a long line of college students. I ordered this dish 2 days in a row and the proportion of pasta is ridiculous. Never ever has this ever happened to me. For $30 prior to these last 2 days they have been service half of a container!!!???? For $30. A cheap pizza shop up the street up the street would overwhelm you with pasta for $20 or less. Is there a damn shortage on a $1 dollar pasta box?!! What the hell is going on!?. This is crazy work to me and the only answer they could provide to me is to take it up with Uber Eats! What does Uber Eats have to do with you packing my order. When I ordered this dish it would be filled to the brim that the dish is would last 2 days to eat. An authentic italian restaurant would never serve such a small portion for $30 friggin dollars! This is unacceptable. I will be coming in person to order a take out to see if you guys are purposely doing this to Uber Eats clients only to understand if your are cheating folks out of their money!!

The atmosphere was the best part! Three of my friends got the vodka pasta, and I found it a bit plain, but it might just be my personal preference since they liked it. The drinks were really good, and our waitress was very attentive. However, I had two rude interactions with other staff members, which affected my mood a bit. We just got our check and the hostess was rushing us off when it took 20 minutes to get our drink.

I got takeout and got penne alla vodka. It was okay, I’ve had better vodka sauce. This kinda tasted like butter noodles 2.0. I didn’t mind until I found something questionable in my food. I called about my concern and the manager said it was probably a pressed piece of pasta and he’s seen it before. I am not convinced this was pasta at all. I just expected maybe a refund or a better understanding but I understand as it was just over the phone. He seemed understanding, somewhat.
