We had a dinner after our wedding ceremony here and Beckta team made it so special for us. Thank you very much guys. It was very tasty dinner and we felt recognized. And yes, food is stunning. Duck is my favorite.

Beautiful restaurant, traditional table settings and amazing service. I found some of the flavours not for my personal taste but everything was really balanced, the steak was amazing. Had vegan options for every course too. We would definitely go back for celebration type dinners.

It was a very nice dinner overall. My food did not disappoint. I had the Waldorf Salad and the chicken dish as the main. The other people did not seem to have enjoyed their Halibut as much, or the mackerel entree. The Chai Lime white chocolate dessert was decadent. The only real disappointment was that we selected this venue knowing fully that they offered underground parking that allowed us to walk directly into the restaurant. Basically from our garages to the restaurant without walking in the -35 (with wind chill) weather. To our surprise the restaurant was closed from the inside due to a private function, and we were not notified in advance of this. As such we needed to walk outside in our high heel shoes (risky business!) It was also difficult to figure out how to access the garage parking on foot from Gloucester street. The security guard eventually let us in.

I had an outstanding dining experience at BECKTA Dining & Wine Bar in downtown Ottawa. The service was super warm, welcome and inviting.
For the mains, both dishes were exceptional. The seared duck magret and hanger steak were both cooked to perfection. They were both flavourful juicy with the nice vegetables and sauces. The matcha lime cake was absolutely superb.refreshing and unique, A dessert worth coming back for on its own.

I booked Beckta for a Holiday party for 35 and was the best choice I could have made. Christine made the booking and organization process straight forward and easy. She was able to meet our preference as well worked with me to create cocktails and mocktails and present the menu with the specific touches I asked for. The bartenders created delicious perfectly balanced drinks.
The space was smart and worked for drink and Social hour before dinner with tasty canapés served.
Kim a pleasure to work with. She was polite and approachable, if we needed something she made it happen. She was on point for service! Kept me looped in on the progression of service. She kept the dinner well paced and everything went off smooth as can be. Al on the bar made great drinks and kept all the guests happy. She was delightful.
The food was delicious. Full stop. It was a great there course menus with options for everyone and met all the dietary requirements for our group.
I can not say enough great things. I don’t remember a dinner for a group that size being done so well. And at such a sevice level ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I visited Beckta for the first time for a group lunch and the experience was excellent! Food, service and atmosphere were great. They were very kind and considerate in accommodating my dietary restrictions which i really appreciate. Portions and taste are perfect too!

I’m not easily impressed and I don’t usually write reviews, but this restaurant and especially Al, truly deserves it. We had a wonderful dinner here and were warmly welcomed by the very friendly staff. The atmosphere made our evening in Ottawa truly enjoyable. To top it all off, we were served a delicious dessert along with a selection of (dessert) wines, ensuring we could choose the perfect match. Such a beautiful way to end the night and our trip in Ottawa. 🙂

Delicious food, and none of the miniscule portions you expect from a fine dining establishment. Beautiful historic home built into a restaurant, though some rooms are quite loud when packed. We were celebrating a birthday and the kind waiter gave us a lovely dessert wine, gratis.
