Hot dog was cold and asked for hot crispy fries and was given some that had been sitting there. No interaction from employees. Not the same as when we ate there in the 2000’s.

I had lunch here for the first time yesterday. The person that took our order was super nice. We got a hot dog combo and a cheeseburger combo. Our tab was $28. I had the cheeseburger all the way. My burger had a strong bitter taste. I believe it was the slaw. Price and taste of the burger is why I am giving this one 2 stars.

Doss’ has always been a local, family owned gem that you can count on. Great staff, great menu and consistent food! Have never had a bad experience and it’s very family oriented as well! They are always keeping it clean also! Highly recommend if you are looking for anything from burgers, hot dogs, ice cream to chuck wagon sandwiches! Classic American food in a classic American setting!

Me & My Daughter & Grandson ate here for the first time since I have lived in Kernersville, & let me tell you this place didn’t disappoint! The fries are absolutely amazing & The food is cooked fresh after you order it the ice cream they have a bunch of different flavors its delicious as well! They have a very friendly staff & very great atmosphere too! We absolutely enjoyed eating here!

It’s a nice little cozy place. Very clean. Fast service. They have hot dogs, burgers and ice-cream just to name a few items. It’s definitely on the pricey side. Purchased two foot long hotdogs with chilli and cheese meals, it was $36 or $37. Will try some of the ice cream next time.

Great old fashioned atmosphere. Crew are fantastic. Clean restrooms. Ice is great. Burger fried and hotdogs are okay but definitely not bad. They can get pretty busy after 5pm so we came in during mid day. Everyone local should come check them out.

Food was pretty good, I may have ordered the wrong thing. It wasn’t bad, but didn’t feel like the best value for the money. I paid about $45 for lunch for two of us with milkshakes. Staff was friendly and helpful. Environment was whimsical and clean. Food was delivered hot and quickly. I would go back and probably try the burger next time.

Haven’t been to Doss’ in at least 3 yrs. It has changed with more seating and better atmosphere and the food is delicious.
Went there with 2 old work friends who are retired and so am I. It was more expensive than I thought it would be.
But , within reason for the way the world is now . Enjoyed my foot long combo with generous toppings and fries (also a generous portion) and a large drink of your choice . It was great and I was barely able to finish my combo. I love simple food such as burgers ,dogs and chicken tenders , sandwiches oh my !

Truly exceptional hospitality here! Mr. Doss (who personally took my order) & his employees were all very kind to me and provided wonderful, fast service.
They’ve got those old fashioned red hot dogs and they serve them hot on a toasted bun. The french fries are soft and fluffy on the inside but super crunchy and crisp on the outside. Very yummy food!
Also, beware of the double scoop ice cream – it’s HUGE! I eventually gave up on trying to finish it after working on it for 50 minutes… no joke
I get the impression that lots of love, dedication, and hard work is put into keeping this restaurant clean and equipped with all modern amenities while keeping its “vintage” sort of charm.
Anyway, my favorite thing about this place is how welcoming and kind the people and atmosphere are. I will definitely be coming back!
