I love George and this place holds a special place in my heart. But the food quality has been gone down in recent times. Not sure who the chef is, but my medium rare steak was basically raw, (it still didn’t taste good after they recooked it) and the cheese in the omelette wasn’t cooked at all. I know it’s just a coney and I don’t expect an amazing experience every time….. but the last few visits have been disappointing

George’s Senate is an outstanding family restaurant with a high quality menu and a bar.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all served here and they are all excellent. The menu includes standard Coney Island fare, with Greek specialties and more.
The restaurant is very clean and service is great. Prices are very competitive too.

I was a little late than my party, when finally found my party, waitresses never offered me a menu, my friends and even myself I have to ask several times for one. Even when I was asked for my order, I had to tell the waiter, he never gave me a menu, his expression was one of total annoyance. The food is good, but the server’s visible annoyance made me feel unwelcome

Food was good, service was slow for a non busy day, staff were friendly. I did notice the outside seating had the silverware in a cup they probably use for outside seating uncovered outside which didn’t seem sanitary to me. Outside seating was not very clean. Overall it was an okay experience.

Always excellent food and excellent service!! The only bad thing about this restaurant is that, if you’re like me and have a difficult time deciding what you want to eat, you have a really hard time deciding! The great thing is that no matter what you decide on, it’s gonna be terrific!

This restaurant, family and George are amazing people. I don’t care what time you go or who is working the environment and people are always the same. You are always treated as family and friends. The food is homemade and amazing. George is very genuine and is interested in serving the public needs. He opens his heart and doors during the holidays for those who need a place to belong and eat. He never charges money at all. He truly is a blessing for everyone he comes in contact with!

Great staff, owner, and food. Plus the 9-hole golf course is a favorite place for sure. My dad’s 83rd birthday was that day and we were there for breakfast.
George invited the family back for dinner that evening and he treated!

I stopped in today and placed a carry out order of a gyro, fries and a coney and after many years of not visiting this restaurant I must say that I will never return.
Hot fries placed in a styrofoam container were dripping in grease that smelled rancid, the hotdog in the coney was cold and the gyro left much to be desired, sloppy and no sauce. I felt it wasn’t worth it to drive back to the restaurant but all the food was thrown away.
Please make sure your kitchen staff is properly trained and that oil is changed as it becomes necessary.
Also, your area behind the cash register could use a good cleaning and organization with washable bins, not torn cardboard boxes. This was a very disappointing and costly trip for me.
Please do better

Nice local spot for brunch! The owner George was very kind and greeted us on the way in and out. Solid service and great views on the outdoor patio where we sat near the bird houses and colorful flowers. The food is a hit during brunch! Very family friendly spot.

I was talking to my best friend about another old friend of ours who owns a restaurant chain, explaining that I hadn’t seen him for years now. My friend said that he had ran into his son and found out that he had opened a restaurant up in Northville Michigan. So we “Googled” it and made the trip. It was Wonderful!!! We got to see our old friend, George (the owner) and love his place which is right on the golf course that he also owns. The atmosphere is wonderful and it also has a full Bar and a huge Fireplace inside the restaurant. There is also outdoor seating when the weather is warmer. It turns out that he has owned the place for 20 years now (I said we hadn’t seen him for some time. Lol). Anyway, the food and service were great and we will be going back again to share some old photos we have when we were all much younger. They have plenty of parking on the south side of the building and it’s handicap accessible. No need for mask, unless you wish to wear one. Check it out because you will also enjoy the view.
