We came to celebrate my birthday at my favorite restaurant — I’m a regular here and always recommend it because the food is AMAZING and they truly have the best margaritas. That’s why this experience was so disappointing.

There were 16 of us celebrating, so yes, it was a lively table. When you have that many people trying to talk at once, it’s naturally going to be a little loud. Unfortunately, the manager, Richard, came over and told us to lower our voices as if we were children instead of grown adults celebrating a birthday. It felt very disrespectful and unprofessional. I’ve never once been told to lower my voice here before, and it honestly left us shocked.

To add to that, Richard was initially called over because one of the girls had an issue with her food. He did come over to address it, which we appreciated. However, as he was walking away, he said to the table, “Are there any more problems?” Professionally, that is not how you speak to guests. A better approach would have been something like, “Is everyone else all set?” The way he used the word “problems” made it feel like we were a bother for asking for assistance, when in reality we were simply addressing a concern with a meal.

We came with the intention of enjoying great food and having a good time, and while the food was still excellent, that interaction really put a damper on the night.

I do want to give a huge thank you to our waiter, Josh — he was awesome, attentive, and kind throughout the evening. We truly appreciated him.

For context, our bill was around $700, so we absolutely brought good business and were there to celebrate and support a place I’ve always loved. I just hope management handles situations like this differently in the future.

So I came here for a peacefull diner with my family and wasn’t even seated yet and my mother cut a hole in her jeans on a nail sticking out of the side of her seat and when we brought it up to our waiter and she brought it to the manager who gave us 30% off her meal and it ended up taking off $3 IN TOTAL and the jeans were $50 and are now ruined. Management needs to do better!! It sounded like they knew the nail was there but didn’t seem in any rush to fix the problem.
The food was good and our waitress was very nice but we won’t be back because management left us very unhappy!

Stopped for lunch. Late lunch was visiting Uconn.

Waiter was good and knew what he liked. Made good suggestions.

Had the chicken fajitas burrito. Was good . Needed more guacamole. Large portion.

This is a typical Mexican themed restaurant. The food was good but not outstanding. I ordered the steak and shrimp fajita. The steak was dried out and tough as was another order in our party of eight, which included two young kids. While I did not drink, the two margaritas that were ordered were very good. The kids meals looked okay. One plain cheese Quesadilla with French fries and chicken nuggets and fries. The chicken looked better. The kids liked the fries.

The prices were good, making this place a good choice. Everyone in my party seemed please with the restaurant. So yes I would go back, but not order the steak.

I understand up charging for a different protein. But in what world are 3 skillet baked enchiladas (even with steak) worth over $35? They wife enjoyed them, but the price makes no sense.

3 star experience. 2 stars after reading how they respond to others reviews. I await the response to mine.

I ordered the top sirloin. It was a quality cut of meat and tasted good even though it was a little over cooked. I know they say they take pride in using the best meat and so on, but it simply wasn’t worth $32.

Skip the fried ice cream. It must come in frozen, I can’t imagine it was fried on site I needed a knife to cut it. Whenever I see that on a menu I always order it. Theirs unfortunately was the absolute worst.

They are lucky to have the location they have, because their business model wouldn’t work elsewhere.

So for 3 enchiladas, a steak, and fried ice cream you are looking at over $82!

So we were fretted and asked where we would like to sit and we chose out side.
First off we waiting almost 10 minutes to even get menus but at least they came with chips/dip. The we ordered drinks which came rather quickly and were delicious. The food was very fresh and tasty.
Our only issue was the waiting staff seemed a bit slow. Even paying the check they ran it through but took an additional 10 minutes to return to my husband.

Bottom line if you are in a rush do not go here but if you have e time to kill and enjoy very good margaritas / delicious food then go for it. We will be back but when we are less tired

Ordered take out prime rib, called it in by phone. Was very specific on pickup time, and very rare cook on the steak. When I arrived to pick up my order it was no where close to being rare, and was told they had nothing rare they could give me. It was absolutely terrible for the 40 something dollar price. I do not recommend going here for any kind of steak.

We arrived to learn there was a power outage. We waited 20 minutes in the parking lot until they were able to open. That’s fine, our choice.
We sat in the bar area and was told it’ll be a while before they can cook food. That’s fine, we were able to enjoy the happy hour margaritas with some chips and salsa.
We were patient and understood the situation with delayed cooking, up to the point that now the place was full…itcwas jamming and 30 minutes after we placed our order, literally every table around us ( all arrived and ordered after us) were being served their food.
Not gonna lie, it was frustrating and made no sense.
The situation could have been handled better. Never got a visit from the manager. This didn’t sit well. Sorry.
The food was very good, when we did get it.
