Bai Lu Noodles – authentic Chongqing cuisine

Had the vegetarian noodle soup and it was so nice!! Can be a bit spicy so be careful if that’s not your thing 🙂 but it’s really nice if you like spicy food. The Tang Yuan were my absolute highlight!! If they have them, get them!

So good spicy ️ dishes. Dumplings are amazing. Pork belly so nice and potato also with a lot of spice lemonade very good helper to eat it together. Yes, I’m not a noodle eater here, but I like Chinese spices✨

First the food: amazing! The place is very small, so book. We went 3 times. The first 2 times we couldn’t understand the server. But on the 3rd night we waited by the door and within 5mins we were seated. We wished we had waited the other times. Lovely food, busy atmosphere. Quirky service. Would highly recommend.

Amazing noodle dishes, both with soup and without. Spicy to the right level and filled with taste. The moon cake is amazing, served warm. Highly recommended

This Chinese restaurant is a hidden gem with a really inviting atmosphere. Initially, I considered giving it a 4-star rating at the start because the dry noodles were a bit salty for my taste. However, I recognize that dishes from this region, including Switzerland, tend to be saltier, so the issue might just be my personal preference.

I tried the dry noodles, and they were delicious—spicy, flavorful, and well presented. If you’re sensitive to spice (and by this, I mean beyond your usual standard), I recommend trying the non-spicy soup noodles, which are also excellent. The noodles are perfectly tender, and the portions are very generous.

As for the cold skewers, while they aren’t exactly like the original Sichuan dish, considering we’re in Germany, they still stand out. The ingredients are fresh, the beef is flavorful, and the giblets are a delightful touch.

The service is attentive and quick, making the overall experience even better. It’s a fantastic option when you want a break from traditional German cuisine. Highly recommended!

My husband fancied Chinese food for his birthday and with the many great reviews, we decided to Bai Lu Noodles a shot. So glad we did, we arrived close to closing but we were able to get a table quickly and ordered as fast as we could. We went for the beef noodles as well as two portions of dumplings – absolutely delicious. Everything arrived promptly and was super fresh. The staff were really friendly and accommodating especially considering it was close to closing time! Would definitely recommend.

A small and friendly restaurant with nice atmosphere. The spicy glass noodle was super with original taste. The appetizer fried pork and cold meat are also great! But the spicy potato and chicken noodles we ordered are more localized, not original Chuan style. Have to wait in the line, better book a seat in advance. Service is great and foods come fast.

Great little authentic noodle shack. Freshly made noodles which were bouncy and soup was full of deep bold flavours. Beef was a little too tough and not much of it. Good selection of vegetarian options and dry vs wet noodle options.

Venue is somewhat small with mostly high bar stool seating good for couples but probably not great for larger groups of 5 or more. Would recommend booking as it can get busy.

Service was quick and staff friendly

Savory broth with delicious homemade noodles is definitely the highlight, but fried pork and dumplings are also excellent choices of starters. The homemade sesame flavour ice cream is also something visitors shouldn’t miss out on. My only complaint is that the place is rather small, and outside seating is also limited. Reservation is definitely recommended.
