As a travel nurse, I’ve worked all over the state and this was by far one of the best Burrito Pollo Deshebrado I’ve ever had. It was huge, packed with meat, incredibly flavorful, and had the perfect amount of spice. I just moved here two weeks ago and already found my new go-to spot. Honestly, it hit exactly what I needed at 1:30 AM after a long shift. Definitely a late-night lifesaver — I’ll be back for sure.

Those were one the best spicy pork tacos I have even had. Despite their neighborhood, this place made one of the very best authentic Mexican food. They were very generous with their meat. The meat was supper juicy and flavorful. The fresh radish, grilled small onion and Jalapeno were my favorite sides for tacos. Their taco sauce were also supper yummy, not too spicy. The chocolate flan were good too. I wish I found this place sooner.

Food is really solid, got the steak burrito and was happy with it. Could have had a little less rice and would have liked more meat and sour cream though. Salsa is good, the staff were friendly, service was fast, the only downside is the location, it’s not in a great part of town and you’re on a sidewalk ordering but they’re quick enough and tasty enough to make it worth the sketchy location

Tacos El Gordo in Oakland is a legit hotspot! Yeah, the area’s a bit iffy, so park smart. The wait? Sometimes long, but totally worth it for those late-night cravings. Horchata’s on point, and all the ingredients? Fresh as can be. Hits the spot every time. Solid 4 stars, no doubt. Keep it up!

This place was a late night hero for me!! I was in Oakland visiting my cousin and after a late night of dancing I had a crazy appetite but nothing was open! After a quick google maps search of open food I came across this gem. Super friendly staff! I already knew I wanted steak tacos but when I got up to their window and saw the options of pork, grilled chicken or shredded chicken, all kinds of beef cuts and veggie I almost changed my mind. My steak (asada) tacos came with onion cilantro and salsa and I wouldn’t have changed anything about them!

Great selection of standard and tasty mexican fare, straight off the truck. You can order in both english and spanish. I got two asada tacos and they were excellent. Their salsa, though not hot, was tasty too! Their truck looked clean and the staff was friendly. I recommend parking across the street.
