We got here right as they were opening! From the hostess to the chef, everything was amazing. Our food was delicious. Refills were fast. Massive portions lol. We even received sherbet at the end of our meal which I thought was a cute touch.

Celebrating my son’s birthday at the restaurant and it was the right choice. Made reservations and was seated immediately. Our server was courteous and friendly and helpful. Our chef was fantastic and hilarious. We couldn’t had a better time. All our food was delicious and the chef gave a great presentation. My son thoroughly enjoyed his birthday dinner. The restaurant was clean and organized and the bathroom was clean and stocked up. All the staff was friendly and courteous. We had a wonderful experience ! Great job folk’s !

Great food and service was excellent. We had no wait time around 0600 pm and they let us eat at the hibachi bar. Cook was funny and really made it a great time. Would definitively go back again. Plus so much food we had to take to go plates for our whole family. Thanks yamato we enjoyed our time there.

Yamato was awesome. We had read some bad reviews since Covid. The restaurant was not full at 6:30 for dinner, but what a shame. The entertainment was amazing. It’s been years since we ate here and so glad we decided to give it a try again. Our chef was fully engaged with us, and cooked our fillet, chicken, and shrimp to perfection. The tempura is a must starter. It’s a large portion to feed a few!!

Terrible customer service. Bland food. Once I arrived I asked The female Manager who was working as the hostess if there was a sushi bar. She pointed to a room but didn’t say anything. So i asked, “do i wait to be seated or just go in?” She said ” you can go and seat yourself. “

Once I arrived at the shushi bar, I sat down. There was only one other customer in the room and a male sushi maker. He saw me and said nothing. There was no menu around so I asked if I could get a menu. He handed me a menu and said nothing.

I asked if I could order there and instead of replying to my question, he asked “what do you want to drink?” i asked for water and ordered 2 rolls. Silence.

He left for a while, then comes back (without my drink) and starts working. After about 20 minutes I ask “is this where i order? Im not sure if you heard my order since you didn’t acknowledge it. He stated “im gonna do it now”

At first i thought, maybe hes having a bad day. So i tried to start small talk and asked if they had happy hour. He just replied “5-7”.

Finally, 30 mins after, another waitress comes out with the water. Im a little weary at this point, so I don’t drink it. he places the sushi in front of me And leaves immediately to help the other customer. I noticed a complete 180 in his treatment towards her. Friendly, attentive, conversational.

I catch him when hes leaving her table and ask for utensils and sauce. he brings out a fork and almost throws it softly on the table. The fork falls to the floor and i notice the napkin is dirty. he replaces my fork.

Another family comes in, he greets them all the way from across the room, tells them he’ll be right with them and asks what they want to drink. A total contrast in the service i received.

At this point, it’s blatantly obvious hes being discriminatory towards me.

I found a piece plastic and informed him. He stated “that sometimes happens when making sushi”.

Ive NEVER had plastic in my sushi in 15yrs and ive been eating it at least 4 times a month.

I complained to the manager when I left, and she explained the napkin may have been dirty from the cleaners but assures me no one else used it. She tried to justify the plastic in my food by explaining to me how sushi is made.

I understand mistakes are made. But the place was not busy, and i was the only person in front of him. No attempts were made to correct mistakes or behavior. I hate to make it an issue about race but he was a white male who was extra friendly to the other white female in the room and the white family that arrived later.

I always tip over 20%. For the first time, i didnt tip. I Will never go back.

My family and I came to this restaurant for my daughters going off to college celebration. We had an 8:15pm reservation upon our arrival the manager with purple or blue hair did not inform us that our party had to all be here as well most importantly she did not explain that everyone in our party had to be with us in order to be seated. And that there was a 10 minute “grace” period. Now we are sitting in the restaurant right in front of her and she never asked if our party had arrived! Then when she did acknowledge us she was the rudest manager I’ve ever encountered anywhere ! And to top it all off we waited over an hour and thirty eight minutes for soup and salad ridiculous! And then the chef said he’s not going to prepare our meals because my wife and daughter asked for no onions with there vegetables! This is the absolute worst Japanese steak restaurant I’ve ever attended. To top it all off we never got served! Please do not entertain this place unless you are glutton for punishment!

Portions were well worth it! Took a little while for chef to come but everyone at the table understood staff shortage. We were seated with 2 other parties that we didn’t know but we all enjoyed each other’s company and laughter!

Food was excellent! Big portions. It was really busy when we went so that’s a good indication.
