My husband and I tried here for lunch and we loved it. The classic seafood pasta and the coconut shrimp was really great. I personally don’t like shrimps that much, but this one was beyond my expectations. And our server was so kind. Maybe the decoration and atmosphere need some changes.

Excellent service and I like the atmosphere. Food was brought out quickly and was good. I had a bowl of their clam chowder and it had more clams in it than I’ve ever seen. The flavor was good. I also ordered the shrimp pasta. It was good and had plenty of shrimp. For me, neither of these dishes were what I would call home runs but I would order them again. However, my wife had the coconut shrimp with coleslaw and red potatoes. When it comes to coleslaw, she can be very picky as she makes great slaw at home. She loved the coleslaw here.
Also she really liked the shrimp stating they must make it here because it’s not like the frozen coconut shrimp she usually gets served. She also thought the red potatoes were very good. Overall this was a good experience and the bill, including a beer and ice tea came out to $46 incl tax. We left a 20% tip as our waitress was very good.

Went today with family for lunch. Donya was our server. She was fantastic, very sweet. She was checking on us regularly. Brought our food out quickly and kept our drinks full. Food was delicious. Will go again and hope to get Donya as our server again.

This was my first visit to Shells. The food was amazing, the service was equally amazing. Our server was very courteous and attentive. My Family and I had a great meal. Looking forward to my next visit to try the different fare they offer. The only thing I would change, is putting Yeungling on the draught list!! Just my personal opinion. Overall, very satisfied with my visit to this establishment.

It has been years since I have been to a Shells Restaurant after the one close to where I live closed. Last night we drove to Lakeland to dine atShells and it was pretty great. Living inland, it’s hard to find a decent and not pricey seafood restaurant. We ordered the shrimp and crab dip appetizer ($8.99), Coconut Shrimp appetizer ($11.00) as one meal, grilled shrimp skewer meal with steamed veggies (we opted for no rice, more veggies ($15.99), and the shrimp and scallop pasta ($14.99). The shrimp and crab dip was very tasty, creamy and easy to finish. The coconut shrimp was less battered than we have experienced everywhere else and very good and plenty of shrimp. It was served on a bed of tortilla chips with a sweet and spicy dipping sauce. The Shrimp skewer dinner came with three skewers of 8 shrimp each which was more than we expected. The marinade on the shrimp was unnecessary but fine and the veggies were steamed just right but lacked seasoning. The shrimp and scallop pasta was really tasty. While I wasn’t really wanting pasta, this was a happy surprise. There were enough shrimp and scallops and an abundant amount of spaghetti pasta with a somewhat light creamy garlic sauce that tasted like a light Alfredo. This was served with a piece of garlic bread.
Our bill before tip (and included 2 iced teas and one glass of wine) was just over $63. Staff was friendly, service was fine for what we needed, and we didn’t wait anytime to be seated at 7pm even though the restaurant was busy. The booths were separated by glass partitions that extended well beyond the tops of our heads. This was a really nice dining experience and we are looking forward to returning again soon.

The baby lobster w/ pasta and the shrimp tortellini was great. The calamari was a tad over cooked but still had good taste. We would gladly go back. Service was very good.
