Stone Street is one of those hidden gems in New York City that feels like you’ve stepped into another world. Tucked away in the Financial District, this historic cobblestone street is lined with bars, pubs, and restaurants, all with tables spilling out into the street. We stopped by for lunch and enjoyed two beers in the sun, and it was the perfect break from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan.

The atmosphere is unique – it almost feels European, with its narrow street, outdoor seating, and lively mix of locals, office workers, and tourists. Even at midday, the energy was great without being overwhelming. The service was friendly, the beers were cold, and it’s just a fantastic place to sit back, relax, and soak in the vibe of lower Manhattan.

Stone Street is especially worth visiting if you’re already in the area, for example exploring Battery Park, Wall Street, or the 9/11 Memorial. It’s not just about one bar – it’s the whole setting that makes it so special. Whether you’re looking for a casual drink, a hearty lunch, or just a place to people-watch, Stone Street delivers. A true New York experience that feels both historic and modern at the same time.

Nice spot in a historic part of the city. Stopped by for a late lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The Hangover Burger, topped with bacon, cheddar, and a fried egg, was delicious. They offer a good variety of craft beers, and the mac & cheese was rich and satisfying. Service was prompt and friendly. A great place to relax and enjoy hearty comfort food in the Financial District.

I had a great time while in this place. The drink and the “truffle risotto balls” were delicious! I also had lunch at the place and it was well prepared. Not only the staff were kind, but also the environment was cozy and beautiful.

Great service at a fun Tavern. They were able to accommodate our party of 10 at 7:30 on a Friday night. We got a chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries and both were good. The only knock, was the music was a little loud.

Stone Street is a great place for outdoor drinks and food, for groups especially. It’s always a vibe and a great time. A New York staple, especially in the summer.

Our waiters at Stone Street Tavern were great! Quick with the orders and food and drinks. The food was delicious and menu had so many options. Lobster roll was fresh and lots of lobster. The parppadelle was surprisingly delicious, like creamy sauce and filled with meat.

Love it and the vibe, and fun servers and we met great people there, only tried the guacamole and Chios, but were good, love to try more next time. IF heading to New York City? This is a fun place with and warm atmosphere, especially at Christmas , we can’t wait to see it in the summer.
