Big Boy brings back Nostalgia for me and anytime I’m on a trip I try and find one in Michigan. Reminds me of days gone by. From the moment I walked in I was met with a smile and was immediately seated and a waitress came over and took my order and although the restaurant is older and looks like it might need some updates, the food was great, my big boy burger was overflowing with hamburger as the portion was excellent and most of all my chocolate shake was phenomenal as I’ve tried shakes all over the world but none compare to the big boy shakes and I found this out years later as the secret is they use ice cream. So come to the big boy in Clio Michigan for great service, great food and the best milk shakes!

Sue (Susan) has been our waitress many times and I just want to say she never disappoints. She checks on you often enough to make sure you don’t need anything. The breakfast buffet never runs low, the guys in the back always make sure it’s fully stocked and stirred. Clean and friendly atmosphere. Will continue to return as often as I can.
Love hearing the waitresses talk to the regulars and showing concern of where they have been when they don’t follow their normal routine.

The food is usually pretty good. I especially enjoy their Slim Jim sandwich. We stopped for a late breakfast, and I should have ordered the Slim Jim. I had a breakfast bowl instead, and it was just a hot mess that gave me indigestion. I never even finished it. I am still giving them 4 stars because it wasn’t their fault that I chose the wrong dish. I miss all of the Big Boys that have shutdown north of this location.

Absolutely horrible. Let’s start with the server was twacked out, the kitchen failed at 7pm they’re out of fish and chips, so they had to take out party of 6 order all over again. To the. Getting the food 2 people at a time to it being raw burgers still. Ended the night throwing up in the parking lot on Valentine’s Day. N then the server says they’re short staffed when there was only probably 6 tables of customers in the building to begin with. Do not suggest eating here n the manager showed no communication nor care about any of this z horrific experience

Sunday breakfast buffet was horrible. Potatoes old and cold. Bacon was old and cold. Ham was dry. Biscuits were burnt. Eggs were ground up to crumb size pieces and cold. Nothing was fresh on the bar, I really will never return. You pay top dollar for food and they refuse to restock with fresh and remove cold items. Learned my lesson will not be back EVER!

Pleasantly surprised. Haven’t been here in years because of past experiences. We were all craving a good old Big Boy. We were not disappointed. Fast, friendly service. Burger and fries were received hot and delicious.

We love Clio Big Boy…. The breakfast buffet is wonderful, the cooks are good and the buffet is usually well stocked.
The waitresses are spectacular, especially Terry, Anita & Sue!
They are all nice.
Oh, and the Boss man is great!

This restaurant is on our list every time we visit Michigan. The salad bar is my favorite and always so fresh. Breakfast items are so delicious. Service is always fast and friendly!
