Stopped in for a quick bite and we’re lucky enough to hit it between the hours of happy hour. Prices were great so we ordered two appetizers fried pickles and fried cheese balls. Both were slightly overcooked cheese balls were delicious and I love the side of sauce they gave you. My husband got a hamburger and I got a plate of nachos. A plate of nachos looks beautiful, but they were hard as a rock. I was only able to eat. Four of them waitress was great very personable.

I came for the fish and chips. “DOYLE’S BELLY BUSTER”. “Generous 8oz filet with ff and cole slaw”.. no way generous.. not a belly buster by a long stretch but decent. I expected a larger piece of codfish.. not sure that was cod.. got just 2 small bitty pieces but still accompanied by a heaping full thinly sliced FRENCH FRY basket. BUT … no coleslaw. Nothing to write home about there.. And I’m still hungry for thick juicy beer battered cod… And so I keep searching!
I added an appetizer.. the Clamtown Steamers.. it was really good. Get over here for these local fresh clams in a zesty, hot spicy, garlicy broth.. it was awesome; with the 2 huge pieces of Garlic Bread.
The Tonewood Poolside Lager I had.. (like a Dos Equis) and Double Nickel IPA.. both very cold, refreshing. Definitely a +++.
I’ll be back to try the burgers and wings!

Awesome pub very easy to find with parking all around the building. We decided to check it out on a Friday night and it was packed! We were able to snag a high top but the bar was totally full, a great problem to have! Live music was great! The menu was expansive with plenty to choose from, but I heard the wings were the thing to get. We tried a few different sauces, the soccer being the overwhelming favorite. French onion soup was a little underwhelming, but overall a great meal! Will definitely be back here. Bonus points for the bendy straws!

I took my family out for dinner and it seemed like we were served lukewarm leftovers. A few years back, Doyle’s had quality control issues and so I stopped bringing my family there. We tried it again about a year ago and seemed back to normal. Today was a different story and we will NEVER go back again. If I was the server, I would not have served the food that we ordered. I should have known something was up when my soup came and it was cold, broken, and runny. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and wings and the food was somehow burnt and cold at the same time. What a disappointment!!!

Doyle’s Pour House Barnegat is an awesome spot to relax and enjoy good food and drinks. The atmosphere is welcoming and lively, making it perfect for hanging out with friends or unwinding after a long day. Last day of our Anniversary Week Vacation and the spot to try is here, to compare it to our “Long Time Favorite Restaurant” that we have frequented since 1976.
The Pour House of Tinton Falls, N.J. was the first establishment that a group of friend’s started their Adulthood with our First Legal Alcoholic Beverage.
In addition to that, this is where we had our first bowl of Onion Soup, Grilled Hamburger sitting at the Bar, Potato Chips with the warmed up granulated Cheddar Cheese Dip and Crunchy Boardwalk Hotdog with the Cheese Dip on top.
First visit to Doyle’s Pour House did not disappoint!!!
Both of us had the very delicious Onion Soup with 3 Cheese melted to perfection on top.
I followed it up with Chicken Wings coated with a Spicy Garlic Sauce, Celery and cups of Blue Cheese and Ranch Dips!!!
Kit had the Pour House Special Angus Burger with Onion Rings.
My choice was the American Melt Sandwich, Thinly Sliced Roast Beef, Horseradish Sauce and Cheddar Cheese between 2 slices of Sour Dough Bread, lightly toasted, French Fries and Coleslaw…
Both of our meal’s we’re delicious and delightful!!!

This was a fun stop and a pleasant surprise as we picked it because it was convenient.
It is a bar and restaurants. They have a nice whisky collection. The interior is large and spacious. Dark wood reminiscent of Irish pubs. The food is great especially the wings. Get the ones grilled after they are fried, amazing. The pretzel is delicious and served with Guinness Cheese sauce. Our server was attentive and sweet. Not a large choice for tap beers. Parking is plentiful and free. Prices are very fair for the quality. There are outdoor picnic tables. Such a great stop!

We go to Doyle’s at least once a month. Their burgers are excellent. The shrimp basket…terrific. We’ve never been disappointed with anything we’ve ordered.

Great local watering hole with good food and reasonable prices the outside bar and the bartender Paige are the absolute best things about going here. She’s super friendly makes great drinks and is super attentive… definitely wish she worked inside more now that the winters here and the outside is closed
