**La Hacienda Escondida** truly lives up to its name – this neighborhood treasure is tucked away like a secret waiting to be discovered, and what a delightful surprise it is!
Walking in, I was immediately enchanted by the vibrant Mexican décor. The colorful papel picado dancing overhead, the striking Catrina greeting you at the entrance, and walls adorned with authentic touches create an atmosphere that feels both festive and welcoming. It’s like stepping into a little piece of México right here in Houston.
The service was exceptional – our waiter was attentive without being intrusive, checking in just the right amount to make sure everything was perfect. You can tell they genuinely care about your experience.
I ordered the beef fajitas, and while the beef was slightly on the tougher side, the flavors were solid and the portions were just right. Nothing fancy, but satisfying comfort food that hits the spot. What really impressed me was the price point – in a city where fajitas can cost you an arm and a leg, La Hacienda Escondida keeps things refreshingly affordable.

Love the decor and the way it looks, im all about the size of my food, but in this place, not big servings at all, been to other places that serve a great amount of food, but not here, they spread out your food to make it look like its a full plate, I had a plate of fajitas of chicken and beef and I only got three strips of chicken and three strips of fajita, and mostly was onions that make it look like it was a lot of food but it’s not, my fiance got his played and everything was spread out flat on the plate tiny a lot of amount of rice a lot of sauce of whatever they were giving you and three little flautas that were flat, definitely not worth the price that we pay for, food tastes nice, but the price for margaritas is the price of a plate of food, it’s absolutely ridiculous, we got charged $16 for a margarita, imagine that and we bought 2, yet their menu shows a different price for the margarita we ordered, i never been charged this much for the same exact margarita, it was absolutely ridiculous i dont believe i would ever visit again, if you like big servings and fairly priced drinks, this is definitely NOT the place for you.

Mexican restaurant in the heights. Food is good and authentic, big portions. The place is beautifully decorated and it delivers a great environment. Service is great, our server was polite and the waiting time to get our food was pretty short. Definitely worth a visit if you haven’t been.
Margaritas were pretty good but not remarkable.
Open until late, which is convenient for dinner after events.

First of all let me say I love this restaurant!!! If ever I am eating out this is my go to restaurant!!! NOW with that being said, I ordered food through Uber Eats from here and with my order I had a pint of red salsa and a pint of green salsa. Didn’t receive the red at all and only got a 1/2 pint of the green. I can’t blame the delivery driver/company because they just pick it up and don’t have the ability to check the order because it’s sealed. I get that. But the manager or a front of the house person should have checked the order and verified it was all there before sealing the bags. Like I said I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT!!! I just wish they would pay a little more attention when sending out to go orders as they do for in house orders.
