I have to mention the bone marrow escargot… SO good. I ordered it both times because I couldn’t stop thinking about it. It’s rich, flavorful, and just something different you don’t see everywhere. Definitely a must-try.
The vibe is cozy but still feels special, perfect for a girls’ night or a date night. Food, atmosphere, and overall experience were all on point. 5 stars for sure—we’ll definitely be back again!
If you are looking for a breakfast spot that feels like a hidden gem tucked inside a history book, The Hattery Stove & Still in Doylestown is an absolute must-visit. Located inside the historic Doylestown Inn, the “antique-industrial” vibe here is unmatched—think towering ceilings, exposed brick, and a stunning collection of vintage hats and chandeliers that make you feel like you’ve stepped back into the 1930s.
Jen, The manager was so polite, friendly and professional. Jillian our server was so on-point.
Kudos to a best and great hospitality team..
Good work guys.
The Highlights:
The Food: I highly recommend the Trenton Benedict. It’s a brilliant local twist on the classic, using perfectly seared pork roll that adds a salty, savory punch to the poached eggs and hollandaise. For those with a sweet tooth, the Banana Foster French Toast is decadent, buttery, and worth every single calorie.
The “Hot Mess”: If you’re coming in with a serious appetite, this dish is a game-changer. It’s a mountain of fries topped with savory sausage gravy, white cheddar, sriracha aioli, and sunny-side-up eggs. It sounds chaotic, but the flavors are perfectly balanced.
The Atmosphere: Whether you sit in the cozy booths or near the large street-side windows, the ambiance is warm and upscale without being “stuffy.” It’s the kind of place where you can linger over a second cup of coffee or a perfectly spiced Bloody Mary.
The Service: The staff is consistently attentive and clearly proud of the building’s history. Our server was quick with refills and had great recommendations for local spots to visit in town afterward.
Verdict:
The Hattery manages to do something rare: it provides a high-end dining experience with the heart and portion sizes of a local tavern. It is easily one of the best breakfast and brunch spots in Bucks County.
Quick Tip: They serve brunch 7 days a week, but it can get busy on weekends. Reservations are a smart move if you’re planning a Saturday or Sunday visit
Will need to visit again.
