We’ve been to The Hattery in Doylestown twice now—once with my girlfriends and once for date night with my husband—and both times were amazing.
I have to mention the bone marrow escargot… SO good. I ordered it both times because I couldn’t stop thinking about it. It’s rich, flavorful, and just something different you don’t see everywhere. Definitely a must-try.
The vibe is cozy but still feels special, perfect for a girls’ night or a date night. Food, atmosphere, and overall experience were all on point. 5 stars for sure—we’ll definitely be back again!

A Timeless Morning at The Hattery Stove & Still

If you are looking for a breakfast spot that feels like a hidden gem tucked inside a history book, The Hattery Stove & Still in Doylestown is an absolute must-visit. Located inside the historic Doylestown Inn, the “antique-industrial” vibe here is unmatched—think towering ceilings, exposed brick, and a stunning collection of vintage hats and chandeliers that make you feel like you’ve stepped back into the 1930s.
Jen, The manager was so polite, friendly and professional. Jillian our server was so on-point.
Kudos to a best and great hospitality team..
Good work guys.

The Highlights:
The Food: I highly recommend the Trenton Benedict. It’s a brilliant local twist on the classic, using perfectly seared pork roll that adds a salty, savory punch to the poached eggs and hollandaise. For those with a sweet tooth, the Banana Foster French Toast is decadent, buttery, and worth every single calorie.
The “Hot Mess”: If you’re coming in with a serious appetite, this dish is a game-changer. It’s a mountain of fries topped with savory sausage gravy, white cheddar, sriracha aioli, and sunny-side-up eggs. It sounds chaotic, but the flavors are perfectly balanced.
The Atmosphere: Whether you sit in the cozy booths or near the large street-side windows, the ambiance is warm and upscale without being “stuffy.” It’s the kind of place where you can linger over a second cup of coffee or a perfectly spiced Bloody Mary.
The Service: The staff is consistently attentive and clearly proud of the building’s history. Our server was quick with refills and had great recommendations for local spots to visit in town afterward.
Verdict:
The Hattery manages to do something rare: it provides a high-end dining experience with the heart and portion sizes of a local tavern. It is easily one of the best breakfast and brunch spots in Bucks County.
Quick Tip: They serve brunch 7 days a week, but it can get busy on weekends. Reservations are a smart move if you’re planning a Saturday or Sunday visit

Interesting establishment with classy decor, however I visited during off hours and the service was exceptionally slow considering that it wasn’t busy. The food did not measure up to expectations, fairly bland. Plenty of staff standing around without customers but I decided to give up on desert since I sat an unreasonable amount of time after finishing my meal.

Practically perfect. Food was excellent. Surf and turf was excellent. Good beer selection. Service was attentive. Ambience is classy but not still casual and not uptight at all. I love this place. The only downside is the menu doesn’t have much of a selection, but at least it seems like everything on it is really good.

We loved everything about our experience here. Our bartender was so wonderful. She was friendly, helpful and made awesome cocktails. The food was fantastic. We tried escargot and it was incredible. The wings were awesome and the tagliatelle pasta was perfection. The attention to details and flavors was unexpected and we loved it. We will be back!

We had a very delicious chicken sandwich, bayou Bennie, and short rib grilled cheese. Every person thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Drinks were tasty, too! One person in our party had their marshmallow espresso martini and gave it two thumbs up!

A great find. Nice staff, great food, relaxed quaint, turn of the century vibe. Lots of wood, brass, and a plethora of chandeliers! It is connected to the Doylestown Inn. Nice beer selection, with sparkling wine on tap. The wine list is small but well curated.
Will need to visit again.

I recently visited this restaurant and had a mixed experience. The food was very good and. However, the service left a lot to be desired. While the staff were friendly, they were not very attentive. It took longer than expected to receive our food and drinks, and we waited quite a while for the check. I even had to go to the bar for refills because our server never checked in. Overall, great food but the service needs improvement.
