First time tried food at Vespa Italian restaurant at farmingdale.
The service was good, prices are reasonable.
Food was delicious and atmosphere was nice.
The food menu is large to select.
The parking on main street is hard to find as it’s meter parking in evening and crowded.

This place used to be fantastic. I used to love bringing people here and enjoying the drinks and dishes together. I remember when it was impossible to get a reservation here, and for good reason. The past couple of times I had the food, though, it just missed the mark.
Last night, I paid $70 for the poached pear and goat cheese salad, cacio e pepe, and herbed potatoes. The salad was 95% arugula with barely anything in it, the dressing was overly sweet, the cacio e pepe was drowing in oil and ruined the overall flavor, and the potatoes looked like they were leftover brunch “home fries” re-seasoned for dinner. I picked up my order and saw that the place was virtually empty, on a Saturday night. Many of the other spots around Vespa were packed.
It really is sad. Not in a pity sort of way, but a true sadness. I am crossing my fingers that management at Vespa reads this review and any other constructive reviews, looks in the mirror, and decides change is necessary. I want this place to be great and full of patrons.

We went for brunch for a friend’s birthday. The food took 40+ minutes to arrive after ordering and mine came out ice cold. Feels like it was made first then just put to the side and not kept warm. They made a new dish promptly but that was it. I was already in a bad mood and no offer of a comp or dessert or anything. My wife’s food was not made gluten free either and had to be remade.
The waiter didn’t really seem to be attentive to the table even though the place wasn’t super busy. Food was good but just not a good experience.

I’ve been wanting to try this restaurant for quite some time. Their food is absolutely amazing, service is attentive and hospitable. I was here for my 30th bday with my gf. The staff came out and sang happy birthday to me. I’m beyond grateful for my experience at Vespa, and I will definitely come back again. I recommend their Mozzarella Sticks, Rigatoni Alla Vodka & Ragu Di Manzo. With that being said, anything you order won’t disappoint you. The vibe and atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. The Ragu D

Don’t understand the hype about this place. Very disappointed. Service was good but from the cold, stale bread served to entrees just not good. Squid seafood pasta served lukewarm warm and shells ice cold. Chicken and sausage meal was drenched in some red sauce that had no flavor.

The experience was above and beyond. My own person issue I wasn’t crazy about my food, they literally pulled put the stops to help find me something I would enjoy and they were amazing. It wasn’t needed but greatly appreciated and they definitely deserve all the stars.. our server Sophia was amazing and manager came and stopped by as well and was very kind. Thank you so much for the experience.

All I gotta say is wow this place is absolutely amazing! Featuring many Sicilian dishes and appetizers I had to check this place out and it is definitely top notch! Everything was amazing from the welcome garlic bread to dessert I was amazed! The meatballs were so amazing in the sauce! And the eggplant capunata was outstanding! The pizza was also amazing with the hot honey and really good pepperoni! And then the entrees the pasta Al forno was amazing and the beef bracciole was so flavorful and tender I cut it with a spoon! Dessert was great too so many options I can’t wait to go back!
