Unfortunately, our drink experience began on a somewhat low note with the sake margarita. It strayed from traditional expectations and felt lighter than a classic tequila margarita. Consequently, it earned a modest 4.5 out of 10. My husband chose a mule, which I can’t recall the specific name of, but it was rated a solid 7.8 out of 10—definitely enjoyable.
The menu at Rock and Roll Sushi is extensive, and while I may have missed capturing every detail, our selections were notably impressive. We started with the “Appetizer Sampler,” which was a delightful mix of crispy wontons, flavorful stuffed jalapeño poppers, and decent egg rolls. The accompanying sauce was a highlight. Overall, the sampler scored an 8.9 out of 10.
Next, we tried the “Headbanger Shrimp,” which was exceptional. The shrimp were perfectly crisp and addictive, earning a 9 out of 10.
For sushi, we sampled the “Velcro Pygmies Roll” and the “Salmon Ribeye Roll.” I adored the Velcro Pygmies Roll, giving it a 9 out of 10. The Salmon Ribeye Roll was a bit of a surprise as I didn’t expect the salmon to be raw. My husband, however, enjoyed it and rated it a 7 out of 10.
Moving on to our main courses, we opted for hibachi. I chose the “Steak and Shrimp with Fried Rice and Veggies,” while my husband went for the “Main Event Hibachi,” a combination of lobster and steak over fried rice. The visual presentation of the dishes was impressive. My steak was particularly flavorful, earning an 8.9 out of 10, though the shrimp was hit or miss due to my sensitivity to shellfish. My husband’s Main Event Hibachi was good but needed more flavor to elevate the main ingredients, resulting in a rating of 7.5 out of 10.
For dessert, we shared the “Hall of Fame Brownie,” which was a standout. This brownie was battered, fried to a crispy perfection, and paired with vanilla ice cream. It earned a delightful 9.1 out of 10. Despite being full, I couldn’t resist enjoying several bites.
Overall, Rock and Roll Sushi provided a memorable dining experience with a rating of 8.5 out of 10. We look forward to returning and exploring more of their extensive menu.
I ordered the TNT Shrimp (Forgot to take a pic) and Volcano Roll. The shrimp had a nice flavor to it. It wasn’t as crunchy as I was expecting but the flavor was good. Was expecting it to be spicy given the name.
The volcano roll was good. The reason for the 3 stars is because avocados was not listed that it was part of the roll. I don’t like the taste or texture so it ruined it for me when I took a bit and all i tasted was avocado ( Thank Goodness I’m not allergic ) Very disappointing. I tried my best to pick it out but it was a lot. The ones I was able to remove was good. Nice flavor. I’ll definitely go back though. There were a lot of things I saw that I wanted to try.
Update: Changed my rating… So this has become one of my favorite spots. I’ve been here numerous times. The food is just to good. My favorite is the VIP Roll. I get it Fried.
Also, the atmosphere is great with tvs showing Rock music videos.
