Absolutely loved our service and food.
We got the Shrimp platter. The shrimp were crispy and battered perfectly. For sides we got mac&cheese and collard greens. Mac and cheese were both macky & cheesy we just needed to add a little bit of salt and we were good!

I next plate was the Wing plate. I got 4 well seasoned crispy wings. My sides were cabbage which had a nice sweet taste to them and white beans. White beans are smaller than butter beans and very similar in texture and taste.

We had cornbread with both. I was expecting more of a Jiffy cornbread but it gave me more of a hot water type corn bread, not as sweet as I desired and I had to dip it in the cabbage and collard green juice to soften it. None the less everything tasted good.

And we had an order of French fries. They were crispy on the outside and soft inside.

We will definitely eat there again!

The lady in the kitchen was the one who greeted me which was wonderful. Playing music not for all but for the folks working in guess. The server and cashier at the exit she isn’t for everyone. Everything was seasoned but I think the forgot the green beans. Fried green tomatoes were GREAT they had a chow chow with it that made it taste even better.

A+ food! Onion rings were the best I’ve ever had, and the hot chicken tenders were fabulous. Reasonably priced and everything is fresh made to order. We’ll be back again and again!

I ordered takeout for lunch and got the leg and thigh meal. That was easily the best fried chicken I’ve ever had in my life. The staff were also super friendly and helpful and had my order out very quickly. Best of all you can’t beat the price! I only paid $12 for what would likely be close to $20 anywhere else. I will most definitely be returning with friends and family in the future!

My husband and I drove from pigeon forge to Knoxville just get some of Ms. Jackie’s southern comfort food. I knew the food was delicious when I saw my hubby dancing while he was eating. This will be our lunch spot on Sunday’s. The customer service is excellent. When I heard Ms. Jackie singing while cooking, she’s blessing the food with her love.

Ehhh so so… The chicken was dry and chewy. The “hot” chicken is just chicken drenched in buffalo sauce. The fried green tomatoes were good, a bit salty, but almost $9 for 5 thinly sliced tomatoes is insane! The mac n’ cheese is decent but sweet, different. Service was just okay nothing spectacular

Finally got to Jackie’s Dream to eat. It’s a small soul food place in North Knoxville. We went in and took a seat and Derana waited on us. We got some of the sweetest sweet tea I ever drank but it was seriously good. I got a breast and a wing meal. The chicken is made fresh so it’s about 15 minutes to get it but so worth the wait. The breading is top notch and very flavorful. I picked the skin and breading off of every crevice I could get my fat finger in on the breast. It’s incredibly hot and juicy upon delivery and steam rolls out of it as you go to town on it. The wing is equally phenomenal and so tasty. It’s hard to wait for it to cool it’s so dang good. The okra is next level! A salty thick breading on fresh flavorful okra. Truly a southern delight. The mac & cheese is exactly what it should be in soul food joint. Cheesy creamy macaroni goodness. Lastly a big hunk of warm southern corn bread. When I was done the only thing left on my plate was a chicken skeleton. Unfortunately to full for dessert but next time I’m getting a banana pudding. My fiancee and kids were all very satisfied with their meals. The kids loved the mac & cheese. It was an exceptional dining experience and absolutely worth a visit. A lot of food and very reasonably priced. Jackie is very sweet and checked on us. Very nice to our kids. It’s really a hidden gem in North Knoxville.

Jackie is awesome, super friendly and welcoming. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was good, but not extraordinary. The portions were sufficient but not plentiful. We went for the catfish, based on many positive reviews. It was good. But not as good as Ctscker Barrel. Also tried the smothered pork chop. It was a single small chop and wasn’t really smothered in gravy. A bit tough and fatty… was disappointing. The prices were very reasonable, making the overall experience acceptable, but not steller.

Such an adorable little hidden gem in Knoxville. Food came out hot and fresh. I ordered the fish sandwich and ended up getting 2 giant pieces, one of which I immediately set to the side because I knew I was taking it home lol and the owner came right up to make sure everything was okay and I told her it was, I was so excited to get so much I was saving it for later lol
