This is the real deal. We took our large family to my late father’s favorite restaurant. We shared many memories of dad eating at Mel’s and it was so nice to share a meal with siblings and mom.
Food is classic American diner made with excellence. Delicious! Service is always very good, and this time was no exception. Atmosphere is perfect for the entire family or date night. Thanks Mel’s for always taking care of my pops.

Great food, even better service, often times an animated story told while you eat lunch. My favorite place to get lunch in Auburn. The whole crew is great but Tiffany especially stands out as the best server I have ever had.

Their chicken fried steak is pretty delicious and the gravy can go on anything.. I gave 5 stars because there’s this one waitress (purple hair) that makes it pretty great every time I go there. Her service is top notch

I stopped in 20 minutes before closing, Grace, who was my Hostess sat me at a table, but my waitress must have been on a break! I sat for close to 10 minutes before I looked around again, Grace noticed that nobody had come over to take my drink order! She asked me if I was helped yet, I replied no, so she took my order and put it in for me. I Got my food very quickly and she kept checking on me and made me feel special. Food came, ate it and she continued excellent customer service!!! My waitress finally came over but I was able to inform her that Gracie already took my order and gave me amazing service? I’d highly recommend Grace for your Dinning

Food just like all the other Mel’s I’ve been to. Adequate portions, hot off the grill, and pretty good. Plus 1⭐️for being DOG FRIENDLY. Surrounding Mel’s today were a sea of vintage cars and trucks attending the 2023 American Graffiti Car Show. Mel’s is a sponsor of this well attended annual event. Car hops were making the rounds taking food and drink orders from attendees. Nice touch!

I ordered a side of bacon it was cold, they must have microwaved it to heat it back up, was not crispy. I asked for new and they brought me back some that was put in the oven. French dip meat was cold around the sides and hot inside the middle was brought to table with my extras added. Best part of meal was curly fries.

Absolutely wonderful experience. My partner (a Vietnam veteran) and I just dined at Mel’s Diner. When the very friendly and sweet waitress (Grace G.) brought our check, she told my partner that she had added a 15% off discount for him being a veteran (he was wearing his Vietnam vet hat) and thanked him for his service. Wonderful service, good food for the value, and a great waitress. Highly recommend this restaurant.
