Without a doubt the best Indian meal I’ve ever had. Followed closely only by their sister restaurant, Chutney Mary. They more than earned their Michelin Star and deserve a second!

Every dish was fantastic, but the standouts were:
Seafood platter – Includes scallop, prawn, and fried oyster. Devine. Palawan is the unexpected standout here.
Black Pepper Chicken tikka – perfectly tandoori grilled, moist, and flavorful.
Crispy Cabbage and Noodle Salad – Fresh, light, satisfyingly crunchy. I could eat this all day and feel good about myself.
Minced chicken lettuce parcel – Lettuce wrap with a light curry chicken, perfect way to start your meal
Punjabi Channa Chaat Tart – Explosion of all your favorite Indian street food flavors in a single bite.
Butter chicken – Don’t judge me, but this was amazing. My only wish is it was a bit spicier.
Truffle naan – Superb complement to the butter chicken

Cocktails were also great. I especially liked:
Smoked Old Fashioned – Perfectly executed, lingering smoke lasted throughout the drink.
G’Old Fashioned – A fig dominant old fashioned with notes of coconut and an Indian whiskey base. More unique than the Smoked Old Fashioned, and a tad bit lighter.

Service was impeccable, and I especially liked our server’s willingness to be honest with us about his thoughts on the dishes. Felt like we were friends by the end of the night 🙂

Prices were reasonable given the quality, and since it’s tapas style, you could order light and get away under £100pp.

I’ve visited this restaurant several times and it never fails to deliver. From the attention to detail from the waiters to the impeccable food this a dining experience not just a meal. It raises the bar for all Indian Fine dining restaurants. Indian food has been elevated to new heights without loosing authenticity. The desserts were outstanding and much credit goes to the pastry chef. This restaurant never fails to exceed expections and made our New Years Eve incredibly special and I saw in the new year with an incredible chocolate fondant tart!

We visited this restaurant for lunch, we had booked a slot for 2:15 and arrived at 2:30, if they have their last slot at 2:15, they cannot expect to give the entire order in 20 minutes. We couldn’t order properly. Though the food was decent. We had a veg lunch thali which was delicious and very tasty. The starters were the highlight though the brocolli and the dal felt very average. We also ordered a chicken biryani which was the worst biryani I have ever tried, no flavour, no spices, super bland. I complained regarding the same and it was taken off the bill. However the service was very bad. The waiter kept hurrying during taking the order, was not very polite and when asked about the dishes, did not explain it properly, felt annoyed to explain. Also when we complained about the biryani, they weren’t really willing to do anything about it until I insisted. Also I asked them to remove the discretionary service charge of 7.5% which they refused to remove citing that they have a minimum spend policy of 60£ and they are not charging us for that, though there isn’t any mention on the website, no where on the email or when I had called to confirm about the service charge. The guy just forced us to pay the discretionary service charge by lying to us. This is very bad for a Michelin star restaurant especially after giving such a bad service. It was my 3 year anniversary and I did not enjoy the experience at all. I recommend the management to take serious action on your staff and train them properly and not try and CHEAT the customers.

Lunch at Michelin starred Amaya Restaurant London.

We had the ‘Favourites’ menu which proved to be a fantastic introduction to the food. Some great, innovative Indian dishes, very tasty and nicely presented.

Decent, friendly service too.

£55 for 4 courses was good value too. Another restaurant that’s an easy recommendation.

Dining at Amaya in London was a captivating experience that beautifully showcased the elegance and depth of modern Indian cuisine. The Amaya Favourites Menu delivered a culinary journey where every dish felt thoughtfully curated, balancing refined technique with bold, authentic flavors.

From the first sip, the Arctic Mojito impressed with its refreshing coolness, blending mint and citrus in a way that instantly awakened the palate. Its natural sweetness and herbal notes paired beautifully with the delicate bubbles of the Wild Idol Sparkling Rosé (England, 2023), whose subtle fruitiness and clean finish added a celebratory tone to the evening.

The starters set the tone for artistry and precision: vibrant salads and intricately plated small bites layered freshness, spice, and contrasting textures. The grilled selections — smoky, tender, and kissed with char — exemplified the skill of Amaya’s open kitchen. Each piece felt thoughtfully seasoned, highlighting the beauty of spice without overpowering the ingredients.

The main courses continued the momentum with deeply satisfying richness. The kebabs offered warmth and complexity, while the bread and sides added comforting balance — crisp, aromatic potatoes and soft roti meant to cradle each bite. The biryani, fragrant and beautifully layered, was the kind of dish that brings out the soul of Indian cuisine: rice perfumed with saffron and perfectly cooked meat or vegetables, a harmony of textures and aromas.

Dessert was a delightful surprise — playful in presentation yet elegant in flavor, ending the meal on a note of sweetness that lingered like a fond memory.

Every aspect of the experience reflected Amaya’s Michelin-level attention to detail — from the plating and ingredients to the attentive service and calm dining atmosphere. It is a restaurant that approaches Indian cuisine with respect, creativity, and confidence, transforming traditional flavors into something truly exceptional. I left with a deep appreciation for the craft behind every dish and a strong desire to return.

Had an amazing lunch at Amaya!!! As a vegetarian, went for items besides the lunch platter (have had it several times earlier) and it was still great value for money at a Michelin restaurant. My favourites were the crispy cabbage and noodle salad, kerala ghee roast potato, naveratan seekh kebab and the stuffed chilli biryani. They also surprised with a lovely chocolate mousse cake for our Valentine’s Day celebration highlight is the chutney tray with rose coriander chutney and red berries chutney. Suggestion: please have more dishes with a spicy Indian savoury element.

One of the best Indian restaurants in London with Michelin star. You can get a launch menu for 32£ but expect to pay about 80£ per person with drink and desert. Which is still reasonable amount for London Michelin star restaurant. Of course, you can do 62£ launch menu for 2 drinking tap water but this is not the point. Reservation recommended via their web page (no extra fee required!). Try it, you will not regret it.

Amaya is such a great spot! Not your typical Indian restaurant, which makes it feel like a bit of an experience. The menu does need a little thought as it’s best to share and try a few different things, but the food is seriously good. The venue itself is gorgeous with a really lively atmosphere. It’s not cheap, but totally worth it for the quality and setting. Perfect for a special night out.
