Staff are polite but somehow always get my order wrong in the dozens of times I’ve gone. It’s usually something small, they missed an extra order of ranch or didn’t put cheese on the salad, forgot the order of breadsticks. But it’s every single time. They’re also often confused? I asked for shredded cheddar cheese on a salad and there didn’t seem to be a way to add it from the POS system, so when they told the other worker they just forgot. This happens often.
The food is good but shrinkflation is incredibly prevalent. It costs the same, if not more, but more often than not portions are half the size they used to be. I ordered two slices of pizza but they were out so I got the personal “4 slice” pizza instead. It’s the size of two regular slices just cut up into 4s.
Some of the decorations that really gave the place life were taken away after COVID or after the new owner, not sure which. It’s pretty open and baren and it doesn’t help that there’s a maximum of 5 people dining in at peak dinner time.
While the decor could use a little TLC, and the staff could be a little more customer oriented, it’s the delicious pizza that steals the show here. Trust me. It’s worth looking past the outdated furnishings. It’s an excellent spot for a quick bite or a family dinner. I’m giving this place four stars because of the decor, but don’t let that stop you from trying the pizza. It’s a real winner!
Not only did they NOT have the deep dish, they tried to upsell me on their “thick crust” pizza which is nothing like the videos I saw. I saw no family history at this location. No pictures of the famous uncle fuzzy.
I left upset and drove another hour to the Katy location and got to try their famous cheesy deep dish, and got to see the family history, and Uncle Fuzzy’s pictures.
Save your time and money and go to the family owned Katy location. Overall I ended up driving 3 hours for deep dish.
