I absolutely had a blast eating here tonight. I started out super nervous. I am absolutely terrified of the dark and have CPTSD and sensory issues due to ADHD. I am so glad I didn’t chicken out! Our waitress Kristen was so friendly and made the whole experience super enjoyable. The food is absolutely incredible. Every course was amazing. Tons of flavors and nice textures. The first course and last course were my absolute favorite, but they were all 10/10. It was such an interesting and unique experience we will definitely go again someday!

If you’re reading this review to decide whether to go or not, stop here and just GO!! Such a phenomenal experience from the minute you walk in the door! I walked in with fear, a touch of anxiety and a whole lot of questions!! I walked out absolutely stunned by the food, the service, the mystery and the excellence. Cheyenne showered us with attention, food, humor and expertise that made our night absolutely perfect. I highly recommend the wine pairing and if so inclined, the cocktail flight. We wanted to try the whole experience so I got the wine and hubby got the cocktails. Spoiler alert on the food – it’s absolute mouth watering perfection! This review is not a paid advertisement, it’s just that good!

I decided to treat three of my coworkers to a fun night out and so I introduced them to this fantastic dining experience. It was such a treat to be served a 7-course meal. I won’t spoil for you what each course actually was, but keep it descriptive but vague so you can enjoy the surprise.

First course: a delicious soup – protip: drinking from the bowl rather than using the soup spoon is socially acceptable because no one can see you doing it (except for the servers)
Second course: a trio of finger food amuse bouche surprises
Third course: a very generous portion of a starch and a main protein – my favorite course! They cut the protein for you so no knife needed even though it is provided. I found it easier to hold the plate up to my face while scooping the deliciousness with my fork because no one could see me e
Fourth course: a very hearty side dish
Fifth course: a delicious handheld snack with a side of marinated deliciousness
Sixth course: a very generous portion of a grain with an second main protein
Seventh course: a very rich and flavorful dessert

We are heavy eaters in real life, and we left very satisfied and stuffed. Reviewing the picture menu after our meal to finally see what we actually ate was so fun and surprising. The host staff and our server Bree were so hospitable, patient, engaging, and fun. Kudos to this unique sensory dining experience. Such a fun night out to impress friends and family with this experience.

We came for our anniversary. It was an incredible experience. Our server Bree was so sweet and explained everything really well. There were a couple of large (8 people)parties, but it didn’t take away from the experience. You do for sure want to not ruin the experience for others by bringing in light sources, or being obnoxiously loud. It felt really great to be “unplugged” and enjoy the company of my husband. We had a great time trying to guess the flavors.

VERY cool experience! We were apprehensive to try this but we pushed through and it was amazing! The staff is well trained and are soo supportive throughout the entire meal. The environment was fun and lively so it never felt scary to be there. The food was really fantastic, considering you didn’t have a choice what to eat. This was a very fun experience and I love that the food was all plant based!

Excellent food. Excellent experience. Truly one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The whole meal was a treat. Part of it was just the excitement of not knowing what you’re having, trying things you may never have had, and doing so without being able to see. Awesome.

If you suffer from Anxiety this is not the place at all. This place ruined my birthday i left in tears went back to hotel and fell asleep at 7pm on my birthday because of how traumatic this was. My waiter kept taking long bc she said Several other people left the same night crying. I also love food and love trying new things but The food was absolutely YUCK. THE SURPRISE IS Everything IS VEGAN…not one piece of chicken , steak .. there was what i thought was steak ended up being a piece of rubbery nasty idk what.. Definitely not worth the price 200+.

Response to owner: ,
I’d like to add some important context and clarify my experience.
This was a birthday gift from my husband. He booked it because he genuinely thought it would be something different and special for me. I agreed to go because I also believed it might help with my anxiety. Unfortunately, that was not the case.
I arrived at the experience and stayed until course 6.. so that is false. You cant pull the receipt because reservation was not under my name. During that time, I did eat the soup and the finger foods that were provided. The final meal served to us was a curry-based dish (I won’t go into details out of respect for others), so I did make an effort to participate. Because of that, I feel it’s unfair to say that I didn’t try.
For me personally, the experience was extremely traumatic. I understand that it may not affect everyone the same way, but I am only speaking from my own perspective and experience.
I also want to clarify that I did not say anything negative about your staff. My comments were solely about how the experience affected me. Given that you are a business owner, I was honestly hoping for a more caring and empathetic response.
I hope this helps clarify where I am coming from. I wish you a wonderful rest of your day.

This was easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. We did the 7-course meal, and every single plate was absolutely delicious. The food was a standout and the service made the night even more memorable. Our waiter, Josh, was incredible—he was fun, helpful, entertaining, and genuinely made the experience even better with his hospitality. If you go, definitely ask for him!”

The experience was absolutely amazing! Channie made every moment truly memorable, and we’re so happy we tried Blackout Dining. Every bite was an explosion of flavor and excitement, and even the drinks felt like they were crafted perfectly for our own taste buds. I highly recommend this to everyone, it’s an experience unlike any other. Thank you so much for helping my fiancé create such a special and unforgettable proposal!

Top tier restaurant. I was really intrigued by the concept and it did not disappoint. You’re led into a completely blacked out room where you can’t see a thing. You’ll occasionally glimpse a dim glow from the servers’ night vision goggles, but not enough to see anything more than a faint green or red glow.

The menu is pre-set and a mystery, but they ask if you have any food allergies beforehand.

My server, Josh, was awesome. He was super personable, fun, and made the whole experience that much better.

Everything I ate was delicious and some if it was even things I wouldn’t think to try at a regular restaurant.

I didn’t make a reservation since it was only me, but if I were going with some friends I would probably make a reservation to be safe.

I think this would be a great place for any group size, as it removes all the normal distractions like phones and lets you just be fully present with the people you’re there with. Plus it’s fun to try and guess what you’re eating.

It’s definitely not cheap, but it’s well worth it.
