Nellies— Where do I begin? While many people seem to rave about the pizza, particularly the bar pies, I found them underwhelming. (This is Jersey we know pizza)They could have used significantly more sauce, and overall the pizza felt more like a simple flatbread with cheese.
The rest of the menu was average at best. Don’t expect anything exceptional, especially with the pasta entrées featuring chicken. The vodka sauce lacked depth and flavor, and the chicken francese was similarly bland.
Additionally, the service left much to be desired. Our server seemed disengaged and rarely checked on our table, which added to the overall disappointing experience.
Overall, I left feeling dissatisfied. 2 out of 10.

Nice crispy pizza. It was thin, cheesy, but the Elkin style wings stole the show. We enjoyed this place more than we did Kinchley‘s Tavern, and the waitress here was absolutely phenomenal.

Had my daughter’s College Graduation party in June of this year it was amazing out on the beautiful patio . We had over 70 people under the tent and it rained and not one person got wet . The outdoor bar was fantastic for our guests with two big TVs . The food kept coming out without ever having to ask for refills . Would highly recommend for any party big or small .

Solid bar with great pizza offerings, their bar pie looked delicious and their gluten free pizza was one of the better ones I’ve had. Would definitely recommend this place if you are in the area.

Been a while since I been back. Used to go here often with my in-laws when they lived in Waldwick.
Place hasn’t changed. Still great food, ambience and service at reasonable prices . The Nellies Pizza (everything) is still as good as always. Wife n daughter both had GF options and we all shared a GF lava cake dessert. Everything they had was awesome as well. And BTW very good coffee too. Like really really Good.

This is one of the best bar pies I ate. I would give it a 9.2 ⭐️ the sauce is full of flavor, the crust is perfectly charred, and it is just delicious. Perfectly bar pie next time I will order my way with some toppings.

Heard a lot about Nellie’s and I am glad I tried. The bar area is as old school as you can get. The bartender was a nice fella and I believe has been there for a long time. They have thin crust pizza that you can order crispy or well done. I ordered it crispy but would probably do it well done next time. Had one with sausage and one with pepperoni. Both were good. I wouldn’t mind coming back.

Our server Miskowski was wonderful. She gave us wonderful advice what to order. We came her for a celebration and was not disappointed. Miskowski was always checking in as well. I gave 3 stars for atmosphere because it was VERY loud and packed. The parking was PACKED. The service was quick and they were very attentive. The drink my MIL was like a frozen spiked hot chocolate called a mudslide. She ended up getting 2 of them! For appys, the spinach artichoke dip was amazing! Fresh, creamy, and delicious. I wish they came with chips instead of bread slices. The chili was great! Not too oily and had a bit of spice. I wasn’t crazy about the cheese. The special country vegetable soup was AMAZING! It had a chicken broth base but the veggies were so fresh and had great taste. The buffalo wings, were pretty good had a bit of heat. The wings were average. The California pie was really really very good. The plain pie was AMAZING! Super cheesy, the sauce wasn’t over powering, the slices were thin and crispy. The pies came out bubbling and man it was so great. The chicken parm with vodka sauce was ok. Wasn’t crazy about the sauce but the chicken itself was juicy and wasn’t over friend. My bf got the burger and he said it was great. I liked the fries! My MIL got the fettuccine carbonara special and she really enjoyed it. I’m not crazy about white sauce but it was very good. The peanut butter pie was okay. Wasn’t crazy about it. The apple strudel was warm and delicious! The lava cake was okay. Overall would come back again.

This is must-eat jersey pizza. Perfectly crispy sweet sauce. Crispy but not burnt. The wings are exceptional. The bar is palatial. The service is superlative. Definitely go here.
