Sweetie’s is one of my favorite restaurants in town. It’s an old school diner with friendly, consistent service. I love that it’s not a chain – I prefer to support local businesses whenever possible.
Sweetie’s is very homey and not fancy, but it’s just right if you want good food and no fuss. I’ve been here probably 15 times over the past 6 years and I’ve never had a reason to complain. Francie is my favorite server when I’m able to go, although I’ve had great service from any that have served me and my friends or family. They are kind, attentive, and happy to accommodate when needed.
I have Celiac, as does one of the other servers, and always they help me find creative ways to order a good, gluten free meal.
My favorite option here is the Denver omelette with hashbrowns and a side of hollandaise. They serve brisket every Sunday for breakfast… I highly recommend you try it.
Other good points:
* Clean
* Ample parking
* Easy to pull in and pull out of their lot.
* Sometimes they have beautiful quilts on display from local quilters.
Note: it’s located across from the mission. I’ve never had any issues with anyone bothering me or my vehicle.

The absolute best breakfast and service EVER received! I visited an Old Army buddy and took him out to breakfast hoping it would be a good place. What a happy experience. Way beyond my hopes.
It started with the smiling face of our waitress McKensie who if I had a daughter, I would want a girl just like her. Great service, warm personality and pretty as ever.
She suggested some leftover BBQ smoked briscuit and with the country potatoes, sliced avocado and fresh fruit cup: what a breakfast!
The place a super clean whith old time diner feel. All Americana. Perfect for 2 old Paratroopers and great friends. When ever I visit Redding again, I know where to go!

We had a very pleasant dining experience there. The food was very delicious. The portions were pretty good. A wide range of choices. Not easy to decide what you want. Unless you have a special craving. I would have preferred to be seated towards the front of the restaurant. The restaurant looked empty when we went. We were seated towards the back of the restaurant. Which I believe if people are sitting towards the front of the restaurant. You can attract more business. I know times are tough for everyone. So maybe try seating your guests towards the front of the restaurant.

My family and I just visited Sweeties Cafe for the first time and I’m highly impressed! This is a family owned business and for that I’m excited to say if you eat here you’re going to taste the love in the food. Tiff the owner prides herself in her food and you can taste it! It feels like you walked into her home and she cooked a meal for you with love! I ordered the Brandy creek chicken and it was delicious!
We ordered a peach cobbler and that was knocked out of the park.
We’re visiting two days in a row we enjoyed it so much. We enjoyed talking with staff as it makes it feel family friendly and not someone just there for a paycheck. I highly recommend trying Sweeties cafe out! I really enjoyed the social factor of our visit and can’t wait to go again! Do yourself a favor and go get those taste buds some love! Happy eating fam!!

The food is freaking amazing. Deep smoked flavor but not overpowering. Soft warm bread on our sandwich. The meat was soft and delicious, cooked perfectly. The wait staff were all amazing and friendly. Everything was perfect to us. We definitely are glad we stopped in. We enjoyed the experience.

Always a pleasant place to have lunch. Service good, lacking water refills. Beware of server suggestions, extra cost may apply. I’m sure it’s a management suggestion to servers. Suggestions are good but presented like it’s just one of the options not an extra charge.
Welcoming with a clean environment. Servers are respectful to patrons. Greeted with a smile.

I wish could give more stars as the waitress was friendly and attentive. However the food was not so good. I had the pork chop that was dry and overcooked, the bake potato had apparently been in the warmer for quit awhile as it had a crust on it. Another person in our party had the ribs that were less then tasty.
