I’ve eaten here a few times and the service is always good. The food comes out fast and is very affordable. The place has a real casual feel to it. The El Tapatio nachos filled me up. You can have them with chicken or ground beef and they come with the extras that make them deluxe. I like the chicken better. It’s cooked properly and adds a nice flavor. The Super nachos are meatless and without as many extras, but are a perfect shareable for two or more people. The regular nachos are chips with an amazing amount of cheddar on them. No cerveza on tap. but they have a wide variety of Mexican beers and they serve them in a frosty cold glass.

This is a very nice place to eat and is family owned. The food is very good and arrives hot. We generally share one of their dinners (#12). The wait staff are friendly, they know our names. They have margaritas that look great and I’m told they are very good. This restaurant is on one level. It is handicapped accessible including the bathroom that is always clean. This is our favorite go to restaurant.

Old time favorite. The service is excellent. Food is traditional. I’d recommend this place for a good lunch/dinner when you’re in a hurry!!! They are fast!

I arrived to pick up a delivery order, and an inattentive employee initially tried to hand me the wrong bag, likely intended for another customer.

After that, I was told that my order was still being prepared and that I needed to wait. About 15 minutes later, I asked for an update, and the employee said it would be ready in 5 minutes. Ten minutes later, I watched other delivery drivers come and go while I was still waiting. In total, I was made to wait significantly longer than promised, and no one even apologized for the delay. Once my total wait time exceeded 30 minutes, I notified the customer that the restaurant was too busy to prepare the order and canceled the delivery.

Restaurants should estimate preparation time before accepting orders. You shouldn’t accept an order if it will make a courier and customer wait more than 30 minutes, while most other restaurants have orders ready within 10 minutes.

The food here is good. I’m not Mexican, so maybe my palate needs adjusting. But every time I’ve come here (about four or five times), the food has been to my liking. And I like the chips and salsa, although they are nothing to write home about.

The interior is clean and the atmosphere is festive. I can’t say for sure because I haven’t been to Mexico in quite some time (like 40 years), but it sure feels like I’m in Mexico once I get inside. The building is dated, but even so, the bathrooms are nice and clean, albeit very small. And for the life of me, I could not find the light switch. And the door kept shutting on me leaving me in the pitch black.

Service was excellent. We didn’t even have to wait five minutes for meals. And our waiter was very attentive to our needs throughout our meal. I even forgot my take-home box and somebody ran it out to the car.

Overall I recommend El Tapitio.

Delicious tacos, enchiladas, and tamales with quick service. The atmosphere was nice but a little bit outdated with older bench seats. Be ready for the hot, very large plates with generous portions. Good food.

My martial arts friends and I decided to have a little Christmas celebration after their qualifying test at the establishment next door, while getting some good Mexican food and cocktails. The service was a bit slow and all over the place, but understandably so since they had to serve an unexpectedly large amount of people. At least they were friendly. We did our best to make it easier for them. I had a lot of substitutions in my dish as a picky eater that weren’t followed (I did ask for no beans or vegetables) but I just worked around them. The fajitas meat had an amazing flavor and complemented the rice. Their alcoholic beverage menu was nice and large with a lot of variety and I would highly recommend their strawberry daiquiris. Definitely a good place to hang out with a big group!

not sure what has changed in the few weeks since I was here last. Ordered my usual Nachos El Tapatios, They are now 1/2 the size they were just a couple weeks ago. But oddly enough the price wasn’t half….

tried to eat Nachos, Had to throw half away because they were served on a paper plate covered in foil. Where the cheese melted on the foil, the foil kept sticking to the nachos and could not be removed

The atmosphere is the only thing going for it. Was served a margarita with melted ice (like two near-melted ice cubes in a giant goblet) and a fried ice cream that was not fried at all and rolled in cornflakes from like 1982 cause omg they were so gross and stale. We saw a server sneeze on plates before taking them to a table and immediately left.
