Found this gem In the woods of Mississippi on my way home from Texas. We were greeted by the sweetest young lady with a syrupy sweet Mississippi accent and her hair in puffs like Gracie’s Corner. It was busy, but we were seated pretty quick as a party of two. I don’t remember the last time I had it this good, but when I think to myself how I would like a plate of catfish, hush puppies, and coleslaw to taste…this is how I want it to taste. I don’t eat turnip greens but I ate the ones from here and they were delicious. The only knock I had was the fried shrimp I had were not seasoned (maybe they forgot to season that batch because everything else was seasoned well, but not overly seasoned like my favorite spot in Mobile can be at times). Everything else was phenomenal. We had two orders of crab claws which were also the benchmark for what fried crab claws should taste like in my humble opinion. Sweet tea was also hand cut sweet potato fries Our waitress was very accommodating and sweet. Love this place and would definitely make the 3 hour drive just to eat here in the future.

My husband and I visited for the first time today and we were amazed. The moment we walked in we were greeted and seated. Our waiter Luke got our drink order and then proceeded to bring turnip greens, coleslaw and hushpuppies to the table before we even ordered. We both ordered the catfish filets. I had a baked potato and he had the sweet potato. This place is the BOMB! I’m picky about my turnip greens and coleslaw and they were just like how my mom made them! I’ve been to so many catfish restaurants and this is THE BEST “HANDS DOWN”! YOUVE GOT TO TRY THIS PLACE!

On our travels from Florida to Texas, our family enjoyed our first visit to Shivers Creek today. It has a small town feel. The staff was friendly and answered our questions thoroughly, helping us make our menu selections. The collard greens and hush puppies were the best I’ve ever had. We look forward to visiting again in the future. Sorry, we ate the food before remembering to take photos of our plates.

We went here for dinner, there was a little wait but seating on the inside which was nice. As we sat down the server brought out greens, hush puppies and coleslaw. The greens were bland and I don’t eat coleslaw but the hush puppies were sooo good. I got catfish and chicken with sweet potato fries and the hubs got catfish and shrimp with regular fries. I forgot to take a picture of my food but it was good.

There is nothing bad to say about this place. As soon as you are seated you get hushpuppies, coleslaw and greens and all are the best ever! They are on the house unlimited. The fried catfish is so good and the blackened catfish is wonderful. If you’ve never been you need to try them. Id go early because they do get busy after 5.

We drive 45 minutes from our home to the restaurant. I went online and made our reservation so when we arrived we were immediately seated at a table. In the meantime, there were lots of people waiting so we were thrilled that we didn’t have to wait. The same hostess that seated us took our drink & appetizer order the second we sat down. About 1 minute later our drinks arrived as did our waitress. Our sides, appetizer, and food arrived quickly. The catfish was hot, delicious, and tasted fresh (not frozen). The onion petals, sweet potato, turnip greens, slaw, fries, and tea were all delicious too. We paid at the table and that was convenient and quick. We will definitely be back again!

It was our first time visiting this restaurant and it did not disappoint! We were greeted as we walked in the door. Once we were seated our server brought a basket of hush puppies, a bowl of coleslaw and some turnip greens, all were very delicious. Our food came out pretty quick and was great! No complaints at all!!! We will definitely be back!!!!
