Our group of five had a lovely experience at Ciro’s Restaurant last night, and I cannot recommend it enough. I made reservations a week in advance and appreciated the helpful text reminder; when we arrived, our table was ready and the first two members of our group were seated immediately. I arrived just moments later and was escorted directly to the table, followed shortly by our final two guests who were also brought back right away. The service was consistently good throughout the evening, and every meal we ordered was absolutely delicious. It was a seamless and wonderful dining experience from start to finish.

Quaint little bistro. So often hard to find authentic Italian cuisine near Lancaster. Service was great, quality of food was really good. Didn’t look or taste like “every other” Italian place out there. Enjoy!

My husband ordered lasagna and I had egg plant rollatini which is my all time favorite Italian dish. Having dined here before, I knew the appetizer portion was generous. We both ordered half salads which were fresh and delicious. We also enjoyed the complimentary bread. We both took leftovers home. Our waitress was attentive and nice but never told us her name. We gave a nice tip, but we usually are more generous when the server engages with us. Shelly fell short, but we are still giving five stars.

What a shame. This was one of my favorite places for Italian food and atmosphere until I was attacked by the owner for asking to order a dinner. His exact words “I thought you had your dinner.” I responded and said I had an appetizer and he looked disgruntled as he reluctantly asked me what I wanted. I actually said “do you want us to leave?” It was so bad. He was smirking and laughing at us. We were so confused. At the end my friend wanted to tip to go to a specific server because she was nice and the owner was not! She expressed this and then he turned on me when I had said NOTHING and he verbally attacked me. He acted like he was high on drugs. There was no explanation for his behavior. My friend was voicing her concerns and then he went off on me calling me rude etc. it was very busy and he caused a scene where other customers were all turning their heads. The other owner came over apologizing and I felt truly bad for him. I frequent there and always talked this place up. The food is good but I can’t support a business that is so wrongfully treating the customers. I see other reviews and apparently we weren’t the first to be treated so poorly.

Negative stars for this place. If you have a family dinner and want to have fun, do not come here!!! After spending 500 + dollars My family was pushed down the bar and frustrated us completely! The owner did not want to serve us and none of us had too much to drink. He graciously took our money though!!! The waitress we had was not nice and missed our appetizers. The owner is a miserable man who should not have a restaurant!
What a crappy way to treat paying customers who paid the most!!! The food? Olive garden like, with Olive Garden being better. We will NEVER come here again! Owner needs an attitude adjustment and needs to leave the food industry!!!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but people should be aware of what I experienced here.

During my visit, I watched a man who appeared to be the owner publicly berate an older customer who was quietly sitting at the bar with a companion. The gentleman seemed to be enjoying a peaceful evening and was not causing any visible disruption. Out of nowhere, the owner began yelling across the bar, calling him “an old man,” telling him to get out, and using profanity in a way that was shockingly rude and completely unprofessional.

The older gentleman remained calm and even tried to de-escalate the situation, but the aggression continued. The owner approached him again, still raised in voice and cursing. It was not just firm or assertive — it was openly hostile.

What made it even worse was the bartender’s behavior. Instead of helping calm things down, the bartender came across as equally rude and dismissive, contributing to the uncomfortable dynamic rather than diffusing it.

The entire environment shifted instantly. The room felt tense and hostile in a way I’ve honestly never seen in a restaurant before. It was unsettling and uncomfortable enough that I genuinely felt uneasy being there.

After mentioning the incident to others, I was told that similar outbursts have happened before. If that’s true, this doesn’t seem like a one-time lapse in judgment — it feels like a pattern.

A restaurant should feel welcoming and safe. Unfortunately, this experience felt volatile and deeply uncomfortable. I will not be returning.

I was not expecting too much, but I was pleasantly surprised by my experience here. Service was excellent (it was a busy Saturday night), the food was good (not the best Italian food I have had but for being so local and convenient it was very enjoyable) and kids loved their meals (pizza, pasta Alfredo with chicken) and the gelato bar (which is really good!). My salmon entree was excellent.

Prices are a bit high, but that is pretty standard in Lititz.

Definitely should make a reservation for a weekend evening, which you can do online. Still had to wait a couple mins.

i have been to Ciro’s several times- the food is great and the service by the wait staff is excellent!
Italian food at its best! The Chicken Piccata is my favorite thing there and the homemade gelato is sooo good! You can sample the flavors before you pick your dish! Yum!
The one thing I would caution you about is if you request one of their 3 private rooms for a event / you need to know (and they don’t tell you this when you make your reservation) that you can be bumped out of your private room if there are 3 bigger parties that need a room – they will relocate you to a table in the main dining room, without any notice

After all the great reviews we gave it a try. Wasn’t that busy and sat down quickly. Our server wouldn’t stop rushing us and took plates of apps away before we were finished. She was quick to bring check without asking if we wanted anything else. Couldn’t enjoy the meal due to this waitress who was constantly coming up to us and felt rushed. Maybe it was her time to go home but ended up bringing food home didn’t feel comfortable there and it wasn’t that good heated up the vodka pasta.

Customer service speaks a lot about a restaurant and while for the most part it was good, asking a table to hurry up so that they can sit another group is actually insane. It wasn’t even as if our table was just hanging out, entree’s took longer than expected and the table got dessert. It is 100% clear that this place is more worried about getting as many people in and out than it is about good service.

Food wise, the mozzarella, calamari, and gelato was good but the eggplant parm was mediocre at best.

I don’t know how this place is rated so highly. There are so many other good Italian restaurants around with much better food. Save yourself the time and go elsewhere. Highly don’t recommend.
