The installation is quite beautiful.. the customer service is awesome. But they need to work very hard with the finish and taste of the food. In fact.. I just finish the entire midnight on toilet due intoxication

This is a wonderful seafood and fish fish restaurant that’s located in Ipanema. Classy restaurant with great atmosphere such as smooth background music. The seafood is very fresh. You can taste it and just know that this was caught in the morning. I had the best red snapper and also Carpaccio that I will remember forever. Definitely coming back when I’m in Rio.

Can be better.

We order a bottle of wine and around 6 items off the menu.

The tuna salad was so dry ! It felt like it was from a can. (Remove from menu or make it better)

Everything else was great!!
Thank you for the recommendation from the staff

Italian/Mediterranean delight in the middle of Rio de Janeiro/Ipanema. The seafood is the definite star of th show here. The wait staff are truly experienced professionals and attentive to you every need. We ordered course by course and the wait team nailed it. Ask them for a wine recommendation as well, their suggestion was spot on for our stretched out and relaxed dining experience.

I loved everything about this restaurant, the food, the service and the atmosphere. Definitely a favorite in Rio. Planning to come back next time I am in Rio.

First: the BEST, and possibly ONLY safe oysters to eat in Rio de Janeiro. Second: whatever is the main cuisine of this restaurant doesn’t matter, they have the freshest and best treated (basic) sushi. Third: the octopus is also amazing.

It is SAFE to eat EVERYTHING here. I lived in Ipanema for 9 months and probably ate here 40 times, even made friends with some of the staff. Details in dish preparation vary but it’s always good. It is clearly geared toward prissy rich Brazilians and is unnecessarily formal, however I’d recommend it for any occasion as long as you’re fully clothed.

Two thumbs up for Satyricon. This was our favorite restaurant in Rio. We ate there twice within our five day stay. The fresh fish is sumptuous; simply the best. Don’t miss their desserts: we had their moist and delectable Tiramisu.

Incredibly disappointing. This was the worst meal I had during my entire week vacation in Rio. The food was awful. My overly priced Tuna was at least an inch raw and overall luke warm. It was unevenly cooked and literally had no seasoning—not even salt. The grilled vegetables were bland and could have been simply thawed frozen vegetables from a bag. Most disappointing, however, was the service. The hosts and wait staff seemed annoyed that we even showed up to the restaurant. They were cold and rude. If this were a fine dining restaurant I would suspect they were pretentious, but unfortunately the food was nothing to be pretentious about.

Visited in June 2024.
Brazil. Rio de Janeiro.

Our friends recommended this place as the best spot for seafood. It’s a pretty big restaurant with a huge display of fresh seafood. The interior is simple, but elegant.

Food:

We tried a bunch of dishes: the lobster Thermidor, which is probably their signature dish since we saw a lot of people ordering it. It’s a big, perfectly cooked lobster in a creamy cheese sauce. Delicious! The lobster inside was juicy and had the perfect texture. We also really liked the seafood soup. It had a ton of seafood in it – it could easily be a main course. The seafood was perfectly cooked and the broth was very rich, perfectly balanced with spices. The chef’s signature langoustine appetizer wasn’t our favorite. The sauce was too heavy and kind of overpowered the delicate langoustine flavor. The grilled langoustines weren’t perfectly balanced with spices, although they were very soft and tender. The crab tartare was my favorite dish here – crab, avocado, and sauce. They found the perfect balance of textures and flavors.

Service:

The service was friendly, and some waiters spoke English, which is a huge plus.

Overall:

This restaurant is definitely on the pricier side. We enjoyed the food, and almost everything was great. I think this is the perfect place to try fresh seafood, and I recommend it.

I called up and they said that they were fully booked, but we still drove down and they had tables available.
Food was ok. Nothing special, price high and service ok.
