Traveled back home to reconnect with family and introduce my children to their Southern Roots I. June of 2025. Texas Pits Stop Bbq provided the food for our family gathering in Galveston. The Bbq was good, the service and hospitality were Great.

Ordered: 3 meat plate, baked potato, mac and cheese and coleslaw.
Meats were soft and yummy but they were all extremely dry unfortunately. See pics. Mac and cheese was good and so was coleslaw. Baked potato was delicious.
I would give this place another try maybe, but right now i wished they were juicy to have a good experience

Was disappointed, usually this place is right on the money great and delicious. Came in last week they were out of food. Came in today and options were limited and what they did have was dry and just not the quality this place in known for. The twice baked potatoes were under cooked the chicken and brisket was a bit dry. Hope this is just a bad few weeks. Brought family in from out of town to eat BBQ raved about it for days before we came and was quite embarrassed when we left.

What a great find! Really good BBQ! The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The food came up fast and was well presented (see photos). We had the brisket nachos on the recommendation of the server. We also ordered the 3 meat plater to share and it was more than enough. We ended up taking half the nachos and 1/3 of the meat home. Probably should have got the two meat platter instead! All in all a very good experience and well worth the stop.

Deeeeeelicious!!! Had the chicken, pulled pork, and brisket. Tried both the spicy and not spicy BBQ sauces, they were both lovely. The coleslaw was incredible.

We get BBQ every time we go to Galveston. This is the best bbq around. Don’t sleep on that twice baked potato! We even did catering for our wedding with pit stop. Love the food!

I found this place by accident and I enjoyed my meal. The hamburger definitely deserve a second visit. The burger was juicy and full of flavor. The ribs had a nice Smokey flavor and oh so tender. Let me not forget about the spicy bbq sauce. That sauce was legit. The collard greens was seasoned just right. The beans get an okay from me.
