Walking in feels like stepping into Texas bar culture at its best — loud music, moto-vibes, quirky decor, and a friendly crowd that doesn’t take itself too seriously. The menu brings classic pub favorites like burgers, hot dogs, and the iconic fried bologna sandwich (yes, it’s actually that good), and the staff keeps drinks flowing and the good times rolling.
Weekends at Strokers are especially fun with live music, outdoor seating, and frequent bike events that give the whole place a festival feel. There’s even bar games and a super chill outdoor space perfect for people watching or hanging out in the sun.
Whether you show up in boots or sneakers, Strokers serves up a uniquely Dallas vibe that’s casual, loud, and unforgettable — a must-visit spot if you want an authentic local bar experience that’s worth talking about later.
definitely didn’t live up to the hype.
Hey, at least they carry IBC root beer.
My dad started eating that sandwich when he was in high school back in the 70’s and I grew up eating it and it was my all time favorite meal. I shed literal tears when I saw Captain Nemo’s was closing.
I thank strokers for doing their best to bring it back, I know it can’t be replicated but they did a great job with it! Eating it with my dad definitely brought back a lot of memories and I was ecstatic that they even included the signature hot sauce with it!
The sandwich was great, probably about 80-85% of the way to the original which is still delectable. But not only that the bartender/waitress there was so incredibly friendly and joyful it was like she came from a fairy tale, she really made it an amazing experience. I definitely would recommend going out to strokers and trying the Captain Nemo’s sandwich for yourself.
The feel of it just reminds you of Dallas back when everything was fun. The bike store/ museum next to the bar is just as good.
And don’t leave without trying the fried bologna sandwich.
