If you’re looking for a wildly fun, laid-back hangout that’s way more than a regular sports bar, Strokers Ice House is one of Dallas’s coolest hidden gems. This place mixes biker bar energy, cold beers, and great bar food into one memorable experience that’s perfect for group nights, casual dates, or just kicking back with friends.

Walking in feels like stepping into Texas bar culture at its best — loud music, moto-vibes, quirky decor, and a friendly crowd that doesn’t take itself too seriously. The menu brings classic pub favorites like burgers, hot dogs, and the iconic fried bologna sandwich (yes, it’s actually that good), and the staff keeps drinks flowing and the good times rolling.

Weekends at Strokers are especially fun with live music, outdoor seating, and frequent bike events that give the whole place a festival feel. There’s even bar games and a super chill outdoor space perfect for people watching or hanging out in the sun.

Whether you show up in boots or sneakers, Strokers serves up a uniquely Dallas vibe that’s casual, loud, and unforgettable — a must-visit spot if you want an authentic local bar experience that’s worth talking about later.

One of the most colorful haunts we have visited in Dallas. Close to Dallas Love airport. An eclectic & cool vibe with an expansive seating area [inside & out]. The burgers were some of the best! The rich history with Rick Fairless, his family & Southwest Airlines adds to the charm! We had the pleasure of talking at length with Rick. He was both welcoming & engaging. We will definitely return when we get back to Dallas!

So happy they have Captain Nemos sandwiches. From Irving and was upset when Nemos closed. Strokers is laid back. Pool tables, multiple TVs. Nice going there with family

They recently added a sandwich that was iconic to those of us who live or used to live in Irving. The Captain Nemo’s sizzling steak and cheese.
My dad started eating that sandwich when he was in high school back in the 70’s and I grew up eating it and it was my all time favorite meal. I shed literal tears when I saw Captain Nemo’s was closing.

I thank strokers for doing their best to bring it back, I know it can’t be replicated but they did a great job with it! Eating it with my dad definitely brought back a lot of memories and I was ecstatic that they even included the signature hot sauce with it!

The sandwich was great, probably about 80-85% of the way to the original which is still delectable. But not only that the bartender/waitress there was so incredibly friendly and joyful it was like she came from a fairy tale, she really made it an amazing experience. I definitely would recommend going out to strokers and trying the Captain Nemo’s sandwich for yourself.

This is probably the coolest bar in Dallas.
The feel of it just reminds you of Dallas back when everything was fun. The bike store/ museum next to the bar is just as good.
And don’t leave without trying the fried bologna sandwich.

We came just for the Captain Nemo’s steak and cheese sub. Although the wife and I have been here several times before. The sandwich DID NOT DISAPPOINT. It wasnt EXACTLY the same, but pretty dam close. It was a 6 inch instead of the Nemo’s 8 inch. The bread was pretty close to the same too. The hot sauce was the same as I remember it being. My only complaint, the cook got a little heavy handed with the salt. The wife and I will definitely be back as often as possible. Thank you Rick for bringing back the ICONIC Nemo’s sub!!!!
